Untangle them?
When paramount is getting videos from www.ethanhaaswasright.com removed from youtube-- and the game started on the same date as the trailer? When www.ethanhaaswaswrong.blogspot.com seems to depict the very same events that happen in the trailer?

So there might be a fake site linking the two, but that doesn't mean they aren't linked.

I actually found out about it because it is listed as an official site on "www.comingsoon.net".

Hello. I've just found this about 20 minutes ago and I'm on the fourth puzzle.

Trout please read all of thread before posting.

Okay, so let me get this straight this MAY or MAY NOT be connected to an ARG in progress/pregame because of similar content, but cather/others disagrees and wishes for us to not meta spec they are connected? Do I need to get involved in the "game" to get much from this timewaster?

Well I COULD, but it'll spoil it.

Here's a clue that was never made apparent in the site:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Take all of the letters you've gathered and mix them up into words. Spaces don't count for anything.

If you want to give it one more shot, you can use that hint.

And here's the answer MAJOR SPOILER I AM NOT KIDDING. PEOPLE WHO WANT TO SOLVE IT THEMSELVES STOP READING NOW:

Just for the heck of it I sent the answer to the final answer to Van.

Spoilering it since it has the solution to puzzle five in it.

Thanks for the hints. I realized what I was missing for the second one. I had to literally look up close nose to the screen to make out the "stars" clue.

No problem. Smile Oh, and if you hit that problem again just right click the screen and select Zoom In. That way you won't have to strain your eyes. Smile

EDIT: Whoops misunderstood Embarassed Yeah, I had to put my nose on the screen too. lol

Hi.
Let me rephrase my objections. Whether or not these are two avenues into the same ARG, the subject of each thread should be kept on topic. If we had a subforum dedicated to this whole ad campaign, we would still have one thread just for the puzzles and a *separate* thread just for the movie trailer.

I only requested that we untangled the two topics. Discuss the photos under the thread for the website where the photos appear. Discuss the Haas puzzles under the thread where the flash game appears. If/when the two campaigns are firmly linked, we should have a third meta thread in which the whole backstory can be discussed, using clues found from both sites. Until then, i suggest being clear about which info comes from which site.

The Haas site has no movie trailer, no movie still, no January 2008 date, no mention of JJ Abrams, no hidden cloverfield, etc. It has puzzles, a mysterious character, and some foreshadowing. If this is our alternate reality, there won't be any mention of movie directors and a release date -- we'll be fleeing for our very lives!

oh, and p.s. I don't know if come August we'll even consider this an ordinary Timewaster. I think this sort of character interaction puts it back in the ARGish Rumor category.

Third lock?

I honestly don't get it. It lets me drag the lights, but it won't let me put it down anywhere. Where do I put them?

At the bottom there are two unlit spots. Try jumping over a lit dot with another lit dot and landing on one of the unlit spots.
