I'm glad someone got a laugh out of my little joke. But seriously, I think that what we have now is pretty inconclusive, and probably isn't really a puzzle. It doesn't sound like there's anything played backwards (backmasking) and we can make anything out from the silence. What I'm more interested in is what this "hidden menu" and site4, 34, etc is.

I think the sites are places in the real world that have been flood damaged as opposed to websites that might have the hidden menu. It just seems more plausible to me that they would have estimates of 3-4000 sites where flooding needs dealing with over not knowing how many websites they have. Smile

Man 1: "isn't necessary, and neither is the doc download."

Man 2: "I agree. This isn't going to be a public resource. Uhh, pass on the document number so I can delete it."

Bill dialogue 1: How much of our public site data needs deletion? (03 sec)

Man 1: "There's no way to tell yet. Jim's looking into the records to see how many closed sites there are, but as for active clean-up, somewhere around 3-4,000. Here it is, uh, hold on, 402-K-07-002, and in terms of numbers, most of these are past the PPE Stage."

Bill dialogue 2: And they've already left the active sites? (05 sec)

Man 2: "With a few exceptions: Sites 34, 107, and 37. For some reason the center usually goes in before we do, that's been my experience.

Man 1: By the time we have the site clean, they move on to more pressing needs. After all, we've had some extremely unpredictable seasons lately.

Bill dialogue 3: Do we need contingencies if they're busy elsewhere? (05 sec)

Man 2: No need Their rep is available to us any time we need her

Bill dialogue 4: And we're keeping our private site data? (03 sec)

Man 1: On everything we still need to look into.

Bill dialogue 5: How do we stop others getting at it? (03 sec)

Man 2: We're working on it. For the moment we're simply hiding the data behind a false menu item

Man 1: Security will be updated before the next system approaches

Bill dialogue 6: I'll have to stop you there; there's an elephant at my window, wearing a purple fez. He's offering free doughnuts. (14 sec)

Man 2: Okay, great. Bye Bill

Man 1: Thanks.
That last one really could be anything, at this point. Except that, probably. Smile

I would guess that his 6th response would be summarizing what has happened and what needs to be done.

Shadeedge, hahahahahahaha, good one. What do you mean by contingencies? Like a team to go over and meet them?

A laugh on my second post! I feel much less nervous. "Okay, great. Bye Bill!" is just a perfect straight line.

I'm guessing there's a deal between the group with these three guys and the centre, something like "When you find sites that match these specs, give us a call". Bill's asking whether they need to sort out some plan as to what to do if the centre is busy elsewhere or out of contact; do they still go in and check it out without them? Do they wait?

The guy on the voicemail does not say Sites 34, 107 and 37... he clearly says Sites 4, 107 and 37.

If you play the first and second recordings together, the 4 at the end of 34 is the EXACT same as the 4 at the beginning of the second recording. Therefor, it's sites 34, 107, and 34, but that's really not important in this thread. I just want to know what's going on.

@Rush

Wrong. At the end of the first recording he says Sites 34.... then it cuts out

At the beginning of this phone call, he clearly says "Sites 4, 107, 37"

Except you hear him say, verbatim "Site 4". As far as explaining how all of this is going to relate to plot, it almost seems as if there is an employee (Bill?) Taping all the conversations on his phone, explaining why he isn't being heard. Perhaps he's planning on exposing the company.

After all, it doesn't make much sense that upon calling the company number it would redirect to a recorded convo, unless someone was trying to send a message.

Hopefully that makes sense, and can help put these calls into the bigger picture.

Maybe the "centre" is something like SOTA in that they are on the hunt for ancient alien tech. Or perhaps a modern day version of ONI. That would explain why the FCC has a piece of equipment that is too advanced for today's market.

Funny with that last one, it seems like its eerily real. Well, anyway the last one is obviously too open. Someone could try to simulate him saying things in that time frame, and see if it fits.

Judging by it fitting into the time from its closer and more reliable, I think we should work on analygin the rest of the data while we flesh out some more possibilities.

Plus, that time may be off by a few seconds, they don't necessarily respond right after he stops talking.

I think you may be right. The centre might even be SOTA, or at least affiliated with them.

I wonder where Bill and the two other guys are meant to be. Man 2 seems to be somewhere with database access, since he's deleting things, so maybe a headquarters. Man 1 then isn't, but is somewhere where he can get document numbers; perhaps one of the sites? Bill likewise could be anywhere.
