Wow. Figuring out that number is going to be really difficult if there aren't more clues. I guess we could make a grid of all the possibilities and see what is the most likely.
I guess this couldn't be a license plate number.
PS. Hello to everyone from Portugal! I'm so glad that ARGs are being played there and that you found your way to our community. The number of European unfiction players keeps going up! I'm so very happy to see you here. I hope we can help you solve this one.

Well now you've got me curious. Did you get another clue? How did you solve the password?

Yes, how was it unrelated to our only clue?

This is the website where the clues and launched by the missing guy friends.
We have several clues there and the napkin was just one of those early ones no one can figure out. The password was found with the name of a girlfriend (find the woman and so we did).
Now we have another password to crack, to another site and i believe this napkin can be it - so the "z" is already an option.
So i wont bother you all with details, feel free to ask for translations if you want them and thanks for your help. It's precious!
We also have a very bad video

I suppose none of us players have the knowledge to tamper with it, just like we couldn't with the napkin. At least i dont

i'll try to sum it up....
http://aprocuradomiguel.blogs.sapo.pt
This website was created by 3 friends of a guy named Miguel which has been missing since last friday (Day 1 is monday 18th) and the entries are as follow:
18th - Video from Fabio... Miguel is missing and below is his hi5
22nd - Another video, from Chico the bartender, also a friend, saying Miguel was there and worried about a woman and some documents, received a phone call and left in a hurry to the atm machine
25th - Another video, Joana, almost a sister (we have our doubts!), she leaves her email below the video and says Miguel always uses the same password (sara) a former girlfriend that broke his heart
(things start to connect since sara is a friend on hi5)
26th - The napkin sent by Chico to the blog so we could help him with the digits that are blurred (this one you know), our pms have confirmed more than once that this was a telephone number.
30th - Video from Fabio resuming the last days and leaving a surveillance video of the kidnapping
(we found a website for Miguel's employees and later on broke the password and saw his pro email that has context and an encrypted file)
6th of July - Video with both friends - Fabio and Joana - saying they broke in Miguel's ap and found a contract (below the video image) an adobe document
(document - seems pretty regular to me and i'm used to those, its a merge between two firms but the terms are a bit harsh, i think this is just a context clue, there is a list of clients at the end).
(another website with the other company, another pass to crack)
In Miguel's mail there is a zipped document that has a password and i know we will be given info to discover it, but i know there are tools to crack a zip, doable if the pass is not to big
http://www.marquesconsultores.com/restaurante.zip
I suppose this is a fair sum up and i'll be happy to guide any of you through the game if you decide to join us... but i'm afraid it might be too weird to translate the entire game here
I've played a few and this one looks promising - fast in the updates, so far fast in email answers and predictable in its timings (end of the day and weekends), has a book behind it and a promoting company that made some serious projects so it looks like it will have an ending

Thank you SO MUCH for the translation, ana. :DDD
So our next step is to either find the password to the zip, or crack it.
And I think I know who to turn to for cracking it.

I tried finding a file to do so, but no luck.
I even asked a pirate friend of mine.

hey,
we now have a 90% confirmation that it is a telephone number, mainly because of a (un)intentional leak by the puppetmaster.
he mentioned the words "phone enigma" when talking about the napkin.
relating to the zip file:
brute force will be very complicated, mght take days for it to hit a portuguese word, there are a lot of variations, might be case sensitive, might have special carachters, like Ç or accents ´~`^, .
what we do know is that it's related to a restaurant, we don't know if it's fictionary or not....
