What I got from the call

Guy (Bill?): So where does that put us in terms of the numbers then?

(Pause)

Lady: Lovely

(Pause)

Lady: (Something about 4000 and bulk closing shop by the end of the month.)

Op: Thank you for calling. Goodbye

It seems that the first line would fit in nicely after "There's no way to tell yet. Jim's looking into the records to see how many closed sites there are, but as for active clean-up, somewhere around 3-4,000. Here it is, uh, hold on, 402-K-07-002, and in terms of numbers, most of these are past the PPE Stage." from the previous recording. I'm not sure on the girl's lines, but maybe it is "Bill" calling the female rep that they refer to in the other call?

Has any one figured out what numbers are being pressed after it askes for the pin #?

tonal its (#) (#+Pitch) (#++Pitch) then (#+++Pitch)

each number raises in pitch

sooooo besides hiting the phone keys anyway to figure this out?

and if u hit star it allows u to put in a pin number. any one tried this?

I've listened to it a couple of times, and I hear both "roughly" and "lovely". I think it could be either.

I get the 4000 line as;

Lady: And out of that 4000 or so, we're expecting to close shop on the bulk by the end of the month.

I posted this in the [Puzzle]Bill topic, but I will repost here.

Quote:
Female British Voice: [/b]"Welcome to the Strema Conferencing Center. Please enter your pin followed by the [cut off, presumably "pound key]

{4 Touch Tones}

Password accepted. Now accessing archive number 16180. Participant One [in second call "Two"]."

Man 1: "isn't necessary, and neither is the doc download."

Man 2: "I agree. This isn't going to be a public resource. Uhh, pass on the document number so I can delete it."

Bill: So where does that put us in terms of the numbers then

Man 1: "There's no way to tell yet. Jim's looking into the records to see how many closed sites there are, but as for active clean-up, somewhere around 3-4,000.

Female 1: Roughly

Man 1:Here it is, uh, hold on, 402-K-07-002, and in terms of numbers, most of these are past the PPE Stage."

Female 1: And out of that 4000 or so we are expecting to close shop on the bulk by the end of the month.

Man 2: "With a few exceptions: Sites 34..."

***Conversation break here***

Man 2: "Sites 4, 107, and 37. For some reason the center usually goes in before we do, that's been my experience.

Man 1: By the time we have the site clean, they move on to more pressing needs. After all, we've had some extremely unpredictable seasons lately.

Unknown Dialog: (05 sec)

Man 2: No need Their rep is available to us any time we need her

Unknown Dialog:(03 sec)

Man 1: On everything we still need to look into.

Unknown Dialog:(03 sec)

Man 2: We're working on it. For the moment we're simply hiding the data behind a false menu item

Man 1: Security will be updated before the next system approaches

Unknown Dialog: (14 sec)

Man 2: Okay, great. Bye Bill

Man 1: Thanks.

That's how I read this conversation. Anyone have a different take?

Sounds right. Those longs blanks in the second call are probably going to be more dialog.

I heard the name Jamie rather than Jim. The female voice than confirms Man1's estimate, leading me to believe that she's the person being referred to. (ie. Jamie)

PINS - I posted this before: I think there are 4 pins, one for each participant, and they're useless to us at this point because they're for the conferencing service. They Might be nice to know, but at this point not worth debating over...

The new recording has different pin tones, and the overlays don't sound the same (to me at least). The first recording's pins may also be like that - two sets of tones, but the #'s are similar enough to sound like one pin set overlaid twice.

I've slowed the first recording down and upped the pitch, and it most certainly says Jim. Now, if they cut off the ie then that's another story. It's possible that Jim is Man 2.

Also, I think that the female and Bill are on the same phone/ phone line.

I'm not so sure. It would make sense in terms of how they could seperate them out, but it sounds like Bill is asking questions of the other three. Female 1 seems to know at least as much as Men 1&2 - if she's with Bill, he wouldn't need to phone them to check things out.

Conference call mechanics.

Just a few things/thoughts on the analysis so far:

- In terms of the conference call passcodes, the digits we may be hearing are the last few numbers of a passcode, rather than the whole, since 3rd party conference services typically use a seven or ten digit passscode to identify a conference call.

Some services/conference code sets are internal to a client, so the acceptance of a valid passcode could result in dumping the caller right into a conference call in-progress, accounting for the mid-statement in the beginning.

Obviously, there seems to be at least three dial-in attendee locations, and due to the overlap, I would think this Bill is at a central office/hq location, while the first two guys are on-site and the third is at a remote support office. Some items makes me think the first two guys are also on separate lines.

The overlays sound pretty square-on in the string, so I am definitely excited to see what's next (but probably tomorrow).

As an organization item, it may be good to have the sites listed as IG to be run here somewhere with time checks, so that if we can post change/no-change when we return to a site to help those who may not have enough time in the day to check the myriad of sites as often. I am definitely having trouble staying current.

I'm also thinking Jim is Man #2, feeding the info to Man#1.

Keep it up, though, this is great!
