I've been to that site and watched the trailer. It may involve Cthulu, but it's not anything like a monster movie. Also, that was made by a film collective, not a major studio. And as there are no copyright holders for the Cthulu mythos, there could be a bajillion Cthulu movies and it wouldn't affect the potential of 1-18 being one.

 		Yes, they are the same. It's just the quality of the image on the site.

zooming in helps clear it up.

And the glass is just a glass, and it looks funny because of the light and movement taking the picture at all. You know, when you're videotaping or taking a photo of traffic moving...and the headlights and any other light reflections blur and streak?

The guy in pic 2 feeding Rob the drink is wearing the dark shirt over the tshirt with the blue logo that is the same duy in the trailer Wink

 		The Copycat effect
Even if there is a Cthulu movie slated to come out, that doesnt mean this mystery movie cant be based on the same concept...it is a well known fact that hollywood likes to produce movies with the same theme in mind at the same time for instance

1)Armagedden and Deep Impact
2)Dantes Peak and Volcano
3)Mission to Mars and Red Planet

Also, don't know how credible this site is but its saying an insider on the movie has confirmed its filming under the title of "Slusho" and that the trucks around it have the "you can't drink just 6" tagline

One thing that we didn't do yet:

Looks like a little-known actress. This could conceivably be a coincidence: "Noriko Yoshida" is a much more common name in Japan than "Ethan Haas" is in the USA.

Not quite, because Lord of the Rings is a copy-written IP, and no way would they grant the rights to two production companies simultaneously. Regardless, that Cthulu the movie is an independent job, and unlikely to see wide release.

To be fair, it'd be more like doing an X-Men and a Spider-man movie in the same year. People talking about "Cthulhu" are forgetting that he's just one part of a large mythos

Hi all ~ I've been lurking since the beginning and I just wanted to point out absolute proof (in my mind) that EHWW/EHWR and 1-18-10.com *aren't* tied together.

On EHWR, the latest post is in a bunch of sanskrit. Here's the translation:

qualifies for it's on spot in potential? I submit a vote to lock this one and open an official 1-18-08 thread in potential, and put up something more focused on this subject without traying off on what it's not related to.
