possible hints in the trailer?

I was just looking through the trailer for any clues and noticed that on the door to the fridge that Rob walks by when he says the line "I'm your best dude" there is a sideways sticker that says "mystery" in the middle of it. There is a symbol before the letter "M" and what could be numbers and what looks like two numbers after the word. Can anyone enlarge that, sharpen it and make the sticker out?

The line that no one can figure out

"has anyone seen (???)" when they're running out the building during the teaser..

I believe they are asking if anyone's seen "Jason".

Does "Rob" look a little too calm to anyone else when they are running down the stairwell?? I think he knows something Cool

I am pretty sure he says "Jensen"

Been studying the fridge looking for good url text, and nothing so far.

That sticker appears to say "exit to mystery st", which yields a single google result on a message board earlier this year.

Post is about halfway down, no seeming relevance.

Mystery street appears to be a short, insignificant street in New Orleans.

Can anyone find anything legible on the food menus? A restaurant site would likely be easy to fake.

I read that JJ Abrams will be at Comic Con in a couple weeks, and I think the timing is good enough for something ARG-related to happen there. What do you guys figure?

Here are two - one's a little lighter (I did that) - maybe it will help. Also the red lettering now looks superimposed over the stuff on the fridge instead of under it....

And I still say there's something up with the one guy's shirt with the white donut shaped o's on it...

And for the hell of it....is this the satoshi dude? *giggles* had to be done

I have a feeling there is something about that map in the trailer with all the x's on it, but I can't figure it out. It looks like a map of manhattan maybe? I looked on google maps of Japan (because of the slusho site reference to Honshu), but didnt find anything similar.

On the fridge there are two Manhattan phone books. So, you are probably right.

round / "donuts" / reflections

So, those roundish things that appear on the dude's shirt while they're at the party, I think they're CDs or something like CDs that are hung from the ceiling at the party. Watch for it in the scene where the dude is in the background (far right) trying to work his way on-camera while others are talking. On the left hand side of the screen, there's some sort of random thing hanging from the ceiling that looks like a string with CDs or something round and reflective on it. That could be the solution there.

i know people have brought up the fridge before, but did anyone notice where it says "Your life has.." then what's covered up I would guess the word is meaning. Also there is a parking ticket again with a big X on it on the fridge. Sorry if this has been covered, I've been reading this thread for days and I have no idea which way is up anymore.

Interesting

Here's what the sticker on the fridge actually says. I had to enlarge and turn it sideways and brighten it up a little.....but it's intriguing.

The Party Picture.
Maybe Numbers. Maybe not. Here's a rundown.

I've been poring over the photos on the 1-18-08.com site and I'm kind of stuck on what may or may not be numbers in the Party Picture. I realize that they may not be anything at all - shapes that my mystery-addled brain has formed into something I'd recognize - but the may end up being something.

So here's what I see. Feel free to ignore or use at your leisure. Smile

Moving left to right across the picture.

1) A yellow number "1" at the top of the left limb of the "W" in the banner.
2) A black number "7" at the top of the right limb of the "W" in the banner.
3) A yellow number "2" about a quarter of the way down the left of the letter "E" in the banner.
4) A silver number "8" in the first "L" of the banner.
5) A silver number "4" in the second "L" of the banner.
6) A distinct shape immediately underneath the number "4". It appears to be a male figure in a white robe with a brown belt. My first thought upon seeing it was that it was Jesus. This could be nothing more than a composite of two individual photos used to make the letter. It did jump out at me, though.
7) A pink number "3", on its side, in the leftmost leg of the letter "M" in the banner". This is probably not a number "3", since it breaks the pattern of bring immediately recognizable from a normal viewing of the photograph and because it's the only number I saw that wasn't generally upright. I include it anyhow just for completeness' sake.
7) A silver/pink "7" in the letter "M" of the banner, immediately above the glass.
Cool An orange number "2" in the last "S" of the banner, touching the head of the odd-looking woman on the right.
9) A glowing figure that could be the number "9" directly below the face of the odd-looking woman on the right.

Overall impressions of the photograph.

1) The man does not seem to be enjoying his drink nor does anyone save the woman on the right seem to be celebrating in any way. Notice that his left hand seems to be clutching someone else's hand (perhaps that of the man next to him?). The woman right next to him seems to be holding up his right arm and that fist is clenched.
2) Turn the photo upside-down and look at the odd-looking woman behind the drinking man. Doesn't she suddenly look very sinister? It could mean nothing at all, but she definitely gives me the creeps from that vantage point.

I've been an occasional reader of these forums for a while now, and was one of the Cloudmaker folks who really got into it late int he game (to the point where I bought colored Play-Dough and made odd sculptures there toward the end). I'm sure some of this post is trout, but i hope that not all of it is.

so i dunno if everyone overlooked this on purpose or if my post was overwhelmed by other posts and no one saw it...

...does anyone think Abram might have left clues in his interview with AICN?

theme - that's not what I'm referring to. It's when they're running into the street, the guy in front of Rob has them on his shirt and it's not reflections else it would've been on Rob's jacket first since he was directly in front. Here they are again....and one of the guy sitting down during a brighter moment in the shot, for reference. Shadows from stuff around but no white circles....

I'm asking what it might be since this isn't your typical artifact for a men's button up dress shirt, which is what he's wearing. And why only in this shot...

EDIT IN - added one more pic from slusho site - what's the numeral 6 for before the japanese text?

Did a quick Google Search myself and here's what I found.

It looks like the sticker is a pretty spot-on reproduction of that sign. As it happens, a peek on Google maps shows that the New Orleans Fair Grounds does touch on a Mystery Street.

There's also one toward the top of the fridge, only half-seen in the trailer.

This has probably been discussed.

Well, awesome find on the sign. It does look almost identical to the sticker. Now we have a quite random link to a New Orleans Jazz Festival.

We looked into AKM earlier, and I don't think I found any real-life counterpart, but you're lucky to give it another shot.
