Whois info for, 01-18-08.com:

Registrant:
In Hoc Signo Vinces

My oh my, the wonders of Google.

That address seemed kind of familiar to me, but I wanted to play with the Latin Phrase first. It means "In this sign you will conquer" and was used by Constantine who claimed to have seen the "chi rho" sign in the sky.

That motto also happens to be the motto of the Masonic Knights. A photo of the Arch of Constantine, on which that motto appears hangs in theGeorge Washington National Masonic Memorial, which is at 101 Callahan Drive, Alexandria, VA.

Okay...so Googling that gave me this odd little bit of DNS information which says that the same registrant also owns the domain "sectorseven.org", which was first picked up on 7-6-2006 and last updated on 6-28-2007.

Here's the sectorseven.org site. It appears to be a basic access portal, demanding some sort of entry code or something before you can enter. Just clicking "enter" gives you a rather severe error message.

The name listed at the DNS info site is "Albert Pike", who was a rather high-ranking figure in the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. He was also rather highly-placed in the first incarnation of the Ku Klux Klan. Interestingly, he is rumored to have been a Luciferian - such rumors come mostly from things he wrote in a rather large book he wrote on Freemasonry.

Look! Leads! Smile

EDIT: Maybe nothing. Maybe not. It appears that the site was part of the marketing for the Transformers movie. I'm now confused why the same registrant would pop up for both movies since the only connection between them seems to be that the trailer showed before the movie.

Voodoo

Hey, there is another music festival in New Orleans called Voodoo Fest. I have no clue if that helps anyone out but I thought I would atleast say something.

I really think all of us need to move around the pictures on 1-18-08.com

Why would they let you move them around... there has to be a reason or something that happens.

Sector Seven was part of an ARG that promoted transformers. I wasn't here for it, but the consensus is that the common DNS info is just a wink to tell us it's in the same vein, and that there's more to come. Not really much that hasn't been mentioned, but thanks for the effort nonetheless.

The two aren't connected. Jazz Fest is a huge international music/culture festival, while the Voodoo Music Experience is your usual rock fest. It's in City Park, and you won't find an "Exit to Mystery St" sign there.

by the way, is this true???

"Scrolling back and forth in the trailer I noticed this: When you look down the street keep your eyes on the space between the top light post and the one beneath it. I was able to see what I believe is a giant arm that hurdles the Statue of Liberty's head. When the head comes down to hit the street if you look at the area between the posts again you can definitely see that something VERY big is approaching and it certainly doesn't look like an octopus creature (Cthulhu) or Godzilla. "

Trouted myself I did. Sad

I tired some of the passwords listed on the site I linked in the update, but none of them actually worked.

Sorry, just throwing it out there. Thanks for clearing it up. I am just glad it has nothing to do with Godzilla. This is my first time to this site and have no clue what DNS or ARG mean so I apologize if I step on anybodys toes. Also, the number 9 in the picture looks like the lay of the bricks, the pattern. Thats just me.
