Try similar sites, such as Dailymotion, or veoh. If those don't work, try torrent sites like torrentspy or the pirate bay. Lastly, I'd try limewire. Last resort only.

There aren't two different trailers, like with different content.

One was allegedly bootlegged and put on you tube - here is a link to one still online

I think what he is referring to was a short snippet of camcorder footage that purported to be from cloverfield. There was no actual ties, but the footage, which couldn't have been more than 30 seconds, was entirely without sound and depicted a car being crushed by falling (thrown) debris. Nothing very important, as far as I could tell.

There are a few frames at the end of the original trailer where there's some kind of static or distorted images. I'm still trying to figure out how to save the quicktime trailer to my hard drive (in over my head, I know), but I'm pretty sure that something important is hidden there. If you're better at the whole tech side of this venture than I am, maybe you can take a look at it.

It's much more likely for something to be hidden in the trailer than in those websites.

Could you be more specific on the distorted images? Like at what time they occur? I'll give it a look for you.
