A DTD is a Document Type Definition used in XHTML standards for webpages. Typically it is a reference as to the type of document being loaded.
Nothing important, but a good question.

You know I was only away for one day, yesterday, and I feel the same way. I'm thinking we need to add a thread that summarizes the updates for the day.
Happily, thebruce (with some help I think) is keeping the news section of the wiki current.
There is news on the Home page . You may need to scroll down to see it.
The Outline page has a calendar you can click by day.
Here is the outline discussion of July 10th .

So many codes here.
A quick summary of July 10:
The Flood Containment Control phone message updates and leads people to a page on the Halo3 website: http://halo3.com/5467k
This page has a map with locations marked. The location marker contains a vigenere cipher. Also, the page title uses a numberpad (from your cellphone) code which says: Find Kiosk.
At the locations marked on the map the Halo 3 kiosk has a quote from Vigenere which is the key to the cipher. That cipher decodes to:
Quote:
Report 206:
Every sixteen hours another planet is taken. The numbers being lost are astronomical.
Report 223:
Host world raised. Correct concentration to point sixty five.
Fleet losing control falling back. Rendezvous at Nine Bravo Kilo Two Romeo Six.
People return to the transmission log site (found from a Halo3 comic and used to unlock the first server. http://206.16.223.61/e5h2jk/flash/web/index.html
The first 100 people ( or those that got through anyway) entered a verification code. Like the first sever, the second server unlocked after 100 keys were entered.
The second server contains the following data:
1. "Log 2" video (flv)
2. 719hz.wav
3. Log2_Transcript.txt
4. StarImage2.jpg
5. Infestation.jpg
If you mean a code to get swag, I think that the people who entered the first 100 keys got that. ( or will get that with a package )

Just a question. Is anyone else a little upset about how the issue with server 2 went down?
Besides the glitch, someone went to the store, found the secret, posted it online, and BOOM! server 2 unlocked. I think I'm not liking how this is working, and I bet the creators are a little miffed, too. I would be pretty mad if I put some content on kiosks around the country and no one even has to go there to do anything.
That is why the phone axon thing was genius.

well, whether the "community" was what they expected or not, we'll find out soon enough (likely after this is all over, if/when they answer questions and whatnot). Sometimes these things start out like this, with incorrect/uninformed assumptions that are quickly proven troublesome once a community gets involved. If they wanted each of the 100 to go to a kiosk and solve each puzzle on their own, they were far from being accurate on the assumption no one would post the answer online... So I doubt that's the case... but perhaps their expectations were a tad off

Oh no, I agree with you. I'm not saying they expected everyone to go individually or anything and of course the answer would get online, but darn it... there are just so many people playing that I don't seem to have a chance, you know what I mean? At least you're making the wiki. I really appreciate that. It's awesome.
P.S. Any chance of "Creeeepy" being finished at some point? I would love to put some of it on a ilovebees fan-DVD I plan on making at some point.
I wanted to try to make a DVD with text as well as mp3s to explain "OUR" story, as well as Jan and company.
I mean, come on. We are very loosely IN the Haloverse.

I agree with this too. They probably didn't want everyone to go to a kiosk. They did accomplish spreading the word about the kiosks. I certainly will look at it closely the next time I go to a game store.

Well we should be analysing all the info we have gleaned from Server 2 and Server 1, and also doing a lot of spec. However there's not much of either going off at the moment which is kind of disappointing.
What I want to know is how do the FCC relate to the story. They had the Forerunner message that led us to Server 2.
They have to have some valid reason to tie them in.

On the forum description, it says "don't call MC jughead."
Can we call him "meatbag?" Moreover, can AdjutantReflex call him "Meatbag?"
Sorry, I've been here since about day three, just messing around.
(For those that didn't get it, that's from "Knights of the Old Republic.")

Last best hope I just got a few quick questions.
The Halos where built as a weapon against the flood, designed to kill life of significant bio mass in the galaxy to sustain the flood. right! and the Halos where fired once too!
So my questions is this , how did they flood survive? how did they get on the halos and not spared off them?
