William Robert Starkey, born February 9, 2004 at 5:06 P.M.
Big boy weighed 10 lbs, 11 oz.
Meg is still addled by the experience, but she's starting to mumble coherently.
William is on the respirator, but he's been moved to Mom's room.
Wait till you see the picture

Unless it is really there.
Grumpyboy found the original picture (google images "newborn" and go to page 4).

Given the haikus and the limericks, how about an "ode" to the Jake, Meg, and WR:
Here's to William Robert, born February 10, 2004.
Everyone is so glad that the Starkey family is doing well.
Let's all give a cheer,
Or, perhaps, raise a glass to the wee one?
Oh the joys of being a new parent!
Kids truly are a wonder,
Sleeping peacefully, laughing and cooing,
Lying there in their crib taking in the world around them.
I also think that Reggie and Harker will prove to be excellent role models for the child,
Kind, loving, and tolerant people that they are.
Expect this young one to accomplish great things.
Some say the boy looks more like Jake.
A few think that he's the spitting image of Meg.
To tell the truth, I can't tell which of them he resembles more.
And yet, upon reflection, the boy does bear a striking resemblance to…
Nah, I'm sure I'm mistaken.

Thanks for pointing out the original pic GB!
It looks as if young Mr. Maitzen has undergone a few "enhancements": brutal widow's peak added, fingers and ears slightly elongated, and of course the horrible case of redeye (dare I add that all of these things have become associated with the devil?).
What's the scoop? Surely this kid ain't the Son of Satan...is he?
