Yes, there is indeed a painting or picture on the wall that appears to have a person with their hand reaching out towards the observer of the artwork. The cinematography is such that it is timed just right so that you see the artwork emerge as the girl on the left moves out of the way. However, neither the hand or the artwork move in any way as far as I can tell.

Still an interesting observation, but nothing more than either an intersting coincidence or a sly little symbolic easter egg.

I think it's an illusion. As the camera moves to our left, everyone's standing still. The picture is mostly hidden behind the head of the guy in the blue shirt but gets revealed more and more as the camera moves left. It gives the illusion that the picture is in motion when really it's the point of view that's moving.

I think, upon close look, the picture is of some sort of cartoonish girl (like maybe a Betty Boop-type thing) and what's "reaching" toward rob is her head. Look at the smile on it.

That's an interestingly-shot scene. As it begins, the focal point is Rob in profile. The woman to his left is actually one of the women who was with Rob outside the building (the one who was a bit behind him). You can tell that after she turns. She's also the same woman who was in front of Rob when he was at the window, who rushed away so quickly.

But the camera's attention turns, incongruously, to a guy you hadn't noticed before - Slusho Man. He's in frame such that you have to notice something unusual about his shirt.

Abrams never did "this" with the Lost experience. The producers of the TV show LOST, namely Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, made many a coy remark regarding the various Lost Experience websites, making it quite, quite clear that they were related and official, not to mention the television commercials for the Hanso Foundation and it's related Lost Experience website.

At no time whatsoever did any of the creators of LOST or the Lost Experience, including JJ, come out and say directly that any of the sites weren't "official."

I don't see how we can simply ignore an outright statement such as JJ's regarding Ethan Haas. There was nothing coy or deceptive in his tone. It was a quite direct statement and in my mind confirms beyond any fraction of a shadow of a doubt that Ethan Haas and any Ethan Haas related websites have nothing to do with 1-18-08.

And not to sound harsh, but until we get any shread of evidence pointing otherwise, we should probably keep any and all discussion of anything relating to triton enterprises and Ethan Haas in the appropriate Ethan Haas thread(s).

 		Probably what makes it hard (for me at least) is I watched X-Men, saw them fighting on top of the Statue of Libery's head and it gave me the impression they had a lot of ground to play with. Then I see this...



... obviously the actual size is probably that small (face's width not much more than double the height of a small car).

shaking pictures
I've been floating and posted a couple of times as guest about the music....

so I left http://www.1-18-08.com/ running in a standalone browser while I watched TV. it was running for about an hour and when I clicked on it the pictures had moved (from where I moved them when I first went to the page). It has done this for a while but I noticed that the picture of the girls was PULSING. as soon as I moved it, it stopped so I am waiting again to give a more accurate time, has anyone else noticed the pulsing and think they have a reason.

 		Man, I vaguely remember the X-Men commentary... I THINK I remember them saying they had to cheat and make the inside of the head way bigger than in real life.

I actually do think this is a case of Hollywood generally taking (pardon the pun) artistic liberties with the size of Lady Liberty's head, and making it much bigger than it really is. Then, when a trailer like this displays the head in a much more accurate size, it just looks too small. Just a thought, anyway.

The pulsing is new. The movement, we knew about. If you see it again, give us a description of what it was doing, as best you can.

Such tricks of Hollywood has been done many a time. Rolling Eyes I roll my eyes at my own lack of realization to that fact.

 		ZOMG found something on the 1-10-08 website!

Move the top picture (Rob drinking) over to the top middle.....it uncovers something hidden in the background and appears in various colors....has anyone else seen this?

yes, people have been posting about them "ticking" before now. Unfortunately, it's probably hard to know to search for that if you say they are "pulsing" or moving, if you didn't already read the thread.

Use the Search button with the word ticking, select the News&Rumors forum from the pull-down list, and the form defaults to showing all posts with that word. (Use the unfiction search box, rather than Google)

one of the earliest mentions was back on Friday at http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=346312#346312
