I mentioned this at some point yesterday. To look at Rob, it seems that he's not exactly enjoying himself.

Henry Kelvin, Albert Pike, etcetera
Have we really exhausted this?

It just occured to me that we have left many things for dead that may not be. This is just a silly thought, but did anyone else notice all the vowels were left out of henry kelvins e-mail addy? Probably just a space saver, but who knows...

Also, what about the whois address that led to the Masonic Museum of somesuch in Va.? Did we just give up on that? Why leave such an address?

If someone has time, perhaps go to the beginning and pick out leads we abandoned - there were a ton near the beginning. See if we can't pick up on something that we couldn't before, with the wealth of stuff we know now compared to then.

They are holding his hands while he is taking a shot so he wont push the drink away. As for the girl in the corner she does look creepy. I dont know if I have been staring at them too long but has anyone noticed that the flash from the camera has caused alot of shiny spots on everyones clothes like the tie on Robs friend and where the creepy girl is which looks like the number 9. I was gonna hold up a black light to my computer screen and see if there is some kind of code in there. Probably not gonna worth but its worth a try.

Two Cents for Slusho

Please bare with me, I'm just noting some thoughts...

We know the brown animal, previously referred to as a seahorse, disappears and doesn't loop like the other creatures. That raises the question as to its significance. I'd like to call it a horse, and not necessarily a seahorse. I say that because all the other creatures are drawn in their actual form, not representative. Also, note all of the other animals do not blow bubbles from their mouth. Only the horse, and the two people do. The horse does not belong underwater.

A word that stuck out at me in the History section was Libations. I did a quick Google definition, resulting in:

Quote:
a drink offering made to a Deity or Spirit. The most basic example is the pouring of a small amount of liquid directly on the Earth.

That seemed strange to me. Some other things that seemed strange to me were the fact that she drank so much, the 'children opened their fun,' and the drinks were made out of natural ingredients grown from her father's farm. Again, these are thoughts. Though it appears childish, the site/product isn't aimed at children. I believe that Nariko loved sake, and was accustom to making her own. I believe she went on to make other drinks, using other naturally grown ingredients (like rice) from her father's farm. I also believe that she, like the rest of the 'children' were at a ritualistic celebration (maybe something annual?), and when there's a reference to the children opening their fun, they are opening gifts/exchanges in celebration of said ritual. In Japan, Shinto is a belief system where believers worship spirits. Libations are important in Shinto. Maybe it's a stretch, but again, these are just thoughts.

Back to the horse. I went to the Chinese Zodiac for clarity. There isn't much difference between the Japanese Zodiac and the Chinese Zodiac. Naturally, I looked for the horse. Here's a snippet from Wikipedia:

Quote:

The horse personality is often willing to give as well as expect a lot of liberty. These people are extremely independent and confident. The horse person is very quick-witted, inquisitive and determined. They are very good at recognizing patterns: he or she is on to the thought in your mind even before you've expressed it. In general, these people are gifted. They adore being the center of everyone's attention, but they prefer to be recognized for their skills and are easily flattered. On the other hand these people have an honesty and genuine warmth which attracts lots of people and helps them make new friends. People as a rule confide in a horse person because he/she is sincerely interested in their thoughts and feelings and is able to help with both wise words and an action, but there is a small problem about it - the horse person is so excited by new discoveries that it is difficult for them to keep a secret. This is not something that arises out of malice or revenge - sometimes they just cannot help themselves.

I've emphasized things I thought were important and/or relative to 1-18. Yes, I know that 2008 is the Year of the Rat, but, '78 is the Year of the Horse - I'd say Rob is around the age to be born in '78.

There are a few things I'm still stuck on - the looping fish with thoughts of cheese, and the horse's thought of an oven mitt.

Again, these were thoughts, but I'm look forward to your thoughts.

Whatever you believe, GREAT catch i think. It's a fil;m festival, the timing's right - can anyone else smell secret trailer? It's far enough ahead of time for people to make plans to attend. Crazy enough to be ARG-related.

I think i'm to about my $.15 now...

Some people were talking about how Rob looks a bit guilty in the trailer. Keep your eye on him just before Liberty's head goes flying. Several seconds before anyone else starts getting out of the way, he bolts like a cockroach when the lights go on. Kinda funny, actually.

box

OK, this may have been mentioned somewhere here, but I do not feel like going through 93 pages to find out. So, if it has been brought up, sorry.

In the scene in the trailer where the woman says "Rob's Awesome", there is a box behind her to the left that almost looks like a huge cereal box. I can tell that the box has writing on it, mostly in Japanese. I don't really know how to zoom in to read it, and I certainly can't read Japanese.

This may not be anything, but now with slusho.com out, I think it might be worth looking at. If anyone wants to help, since I have no idea what I'm doing here, that would be fantastic.

There has got to be a reason why they took the zoom off the pics and why we cant duplicate the pics. We know they tick like a clock so it has to be some kind of countdown or to maybe simulate a clock the way it ticks. JJ says there are a couple of sites which have yet to be discovered. Im thinking both pics have two different sites which are coded into the pics if we can unlock them.

I brought the libations thing up briefly a while ago, but you did a really good job of explicating it. I don't think it's a stretch at all, given the Japanese references abound - the Slusho! site itself, Rob going to Japan, the decor in the apartment, the Japanese food, etc etc.

Don't know if this is relevant, but just to keep in mind, about Japanese monsters in folklore - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Y%C5%8Dkai

A lot of those ideas and theories stemmed from Ethan Haas related stuff, and it's been confirmed as not related to 1-18-08, so that's why a lot of it was abandoned.

It's just a guess thus far, but just my personal feeling is that exploring domain registration information, exploring phone contacts, etc, is a wild goose chase, and the real hints and clues (if there are any) are far less "technical" than that. I'm not saying we should stop exploring all avenues, it's just that I think it might be focusing energy in the wrong place to follow some of these leads.

Well guys we cant 100% CONFIRM that ethanhaas is out although it probably is. The chances of that email actually being sent by Abrams isn't very high. Sure its a reporter that wants to keep his credibility but then again getting the popularity onto the site is just as important. Personally Id rather not trust some random site reporter that says he got a email from Abrams when he wouldn't say anything to any other people. The e-mail also seemed pretty unprofessional. Not something that would come from such a person.

Basically I don't think we can rule out something under those circumstances , its a little too wobbly for me.

Some other things I'd like to say is at one point I also had the picture constantly pulsing after I had left the window alone for hours (I'm not sure when.)

One last thing , while the guy is saying "I saw it . Its alive , its huge!" and right after it theres a girl with her back to the camera and on her shirt theres a word there. I cant really see it because I have bad vision but it may just say "Switzerland". Anyway it might be of SOME importance.
