Possible site??

JUst googled Mezin and found this bizzare site..... http://library.thinkquest.org/C006353/engl.html
Well I had fun reading though it and didnt think much about it til I noticed the 3+3=6 and 6+3=9 thing. We all know how JJ loves his numbers and the fact that its 63degrees out on a winter night in NYC is pretty unbelievable. But anyhow I have no clue how to debunk these things so I thought I would throw it out there for you all to tear apart LOL. Also there is a part "Has appeared that 20 000 years ago on Earth has taken place a revolution About which necessity the gods spoke much" that kind made me think of some of the Ethan Haas stuff..... Anyhow tear away......

Pretty sure it's a 4:

From what I understand, there's really nothing new found out. Here's a recap, if I've missed out on anything let me know:

Ethan Haas and all related propaganda is out of the question. JJ Adams himself discredited it all, and there's no reason for him to purposely throw the public off.

Slusho has some sort of relation to JJ Adams, but there's nothing to actually tie it to the trailer, other than a shirt one of the characters is wearing. Keep in mind that Slusho has been mentioned before in another JJ Adams work, and Slusho has been described as an inside joke. For all we know, he could just be hinting at the company for a few giggles amongst his friends, and may have nothing to do with the movie.

THe only evidence we have to go by is the trailer and the two photos released on the 1-18-08 website, and no substantial clues have been found using either.

We know for a fact that it isn't Godzilla, Paramount does not have the rights to that series and there's already another movie in the works.

There has been nothing solid to suggest a movie based on the Cthulhu Mythos. That was mostly based on the Ethan Haas story. Most of the clues found with Slusho and the trailer could easily be chalked up to hopeful wishing. Personally, I'm on my hands and knees hoping for a Lovecraftian movie, but I haven't seen anything to support that.

you're probably right, but if you listen closely and watch her lips move, it looks like a "W" and not a "G". Maybe she's just slurring her words. All I know is that if we can get a last name on him, it might move things along

Maybe and maybe not. I note that other ARGs in the past have included some very obscurely-hidden clues, including clues hidden in source codes and registry information.

That said, there's a reason I'm concentrating on Rob. It's because he's unusual. Movies trailers rarely have their own protagonists. Mostly, they're a clip here and quip there that give you some hint about what you'll see in the rest of the movie along with a touch of plat to whet your appetite.

Not this one. This one, though it seems to be about a giant monster, is actually about a guy named Rob.

Think about it. We're at Rob's going-away party held in Rob's apartment. Folks are giving testimonials about Rob. Rob is front and center in one of the 1-18-08 pictures and the two girls he was with at the end of the trailer are in the second. The camera rarely leaves Rob - only for a few seconds. Rob actually manages to show up in almost every shot (except the shots up the street toward the commotion but even then the camera comes back to Rob's reaction to what's happening).

Rob is given a life - obvious trappings that tell us something about him. he's pretty well-off, living in a loft apartment in Manhattan. He's smart - displaying a paddle from a fraternity for honors scholars. He's very interested in things Japanese - his furnishings, tchotchkes, pictures. He's very close to two women at the party - note that, except for the roof, he's not more than an arm's length from either one of them.

We learn all this stuff about Rob in less than two minutes for one reason: the director wanted us to look at Rob. It wasn't an accident that all this stuff about Rob was on display. If Abrams wanted rob to be a cipher, it would have been very easy for him to do so. If he wanted the monster to be the focal point of the trailer, that's a picnic to do, even without showing it to us.

I think studying what we can see of Rob is a worthy pursuit because it is the biggest chunk of information Abrams has given us. It may, in fact, not lead anywhere. But it might.

Remember, the main question of The Beast was "Who was Evan Chan?". Perhaps the main point of what we have thus far is the question, "Who is Rob?".

I would add that the Slusho angle seems to be very tied into this, considering that the Slusho site went live about the same time all this did. Add that to the shirt (which had to be made for the trailer or movie) and you have a very strong connection.

I think she's says "[You or Yo] guys, he's here", but the "you/yo" is so quiet you barely hear it, if at all. The movements of her mouth would seem to jive with that (when you say "you/yo" your mouth ends with the "w" shape) She's saying it very quickly as well, so the "you/yo" and the "guys" almost slurs together.

It just seems odd that while everyone else calls him Rob, this one instance she'd say something like "Weiss, he's here, let's go". That doesn't even really make sense to say, everyone knows who the "man of the hour is" and if you say "he's here" everyone knows who you mean.

Good to listen closely and cover all bases, though.

Yeah, it's clear, especially from the Slusho "History" page, that it must play some part in all this. I just doubt that there'd be all that stuff about experiments and stuff with the bottom of the ocean for a site that was just a little easter egg. There's likely something more to the meaning of Slusho, even if it's only about the undersea/experiments/secret formula stuff, as many have speculated, with relation to the monster of 1-18-08.

Well, then what do we definitely know about Rob?

I checked up on the Woolworth building and 401 Broadway through Google maps...if we line up the sign and the WW bld. with the Statue of Liberty, he would live almost due northeast. So, we can guess he lives near Greenwich village. There's probably nothing of note there, but worth noting anyways.

Is there a possibility the car with the ABZ 3293 license plate is Rob's? It is right outside the apartment building...it might go a way towards figuring out who Rob is.

Also, it's within the realm of reason the former cameraman at the party dropped the cam and ran for it, since it was dropped and Rob ostensibly came back to pick it up (since he was ahead of the cameraman at the beginning), and hand it off to someone else. Why would he do that?

I think there might be a clue in the monster's roar. Has anyone slowed it, sped it, or played it backwards to reveal a clue?

Whooaaa
numbers

Someone brought in acefest.com, in relation to the "2004 ace" thing.

How weird is it that 108films.com is listed as one of their sponsors? 108, you get it?? The site didn't work for me, though.

Ace 2007

I have noticed that the ACE film has been brought up as a possible link to the ACE 2007 graffiti in the posted pictures.

If you go to the film festivals website and look at directions you will see its held at 41 Broad St maybe a possible link to 401 broadway st...it is also across from a dunkin donuts for all you dounut conspiracy theorists out there at any rate something to possibly look into

We're definitely thinking along the same terms. Screw websites, the clues are in the trailer. WHy does he have a large map on his wall of New York with red lines on it? (Seemingly, if you look at a subway map, those lines do match up with the red line on the NY subway, that leads to the crossing blue line to the World Trade center, which is a straight shot to the statue of liberty).

I'll have to hand it to you, you've looked more into this trailer than I have. I honestly have never been apart of any past ARGs, but I don't exactly see this one as an ARG either, at least not until we have more than a trailer and a couple of pictures. I can't imagine putting Rob's actions under a microscope benefiting with any clues to lead to pieces of the story or another website. And that's what I believe we should be looking for, the other websites which haven't been found. I don't know where we should start with that though.

I'm still not getting enough vibe from Slusho to relate it to the trailer, over a shirt. I'm not crossing out the idea, i'm just trying to stick with what we know as a fact.

also, apparently the website redirects you automatically, or so it seems from looking at the source. could this mean anything?
