A little [too] similar IMO. For them to have an IP address in the SAME octet would be like a 1 in a million chance. Make of it what you will.

I only got a C in statistics in college, but the odds don't seem nearly that astronomic to me. Both of those IPs are hosted on GoDaddy, which anyone can use.

I looked up 208.109.78.139 on http://www.domaintools.com/reverse-ip/
Quote:
There are 3429 domains hosted on this IP address.
Here are a few of them:
1. 10ddesign.com
2. 10sheridan.com
3. 1212media.com
4. ...
meaning Bad Robot just didn't care about hosting an expensive website. There really is no content there, and at first I thought it was a fan hoax site, but the domain has been registered since 1999.

and for 208.109.78.10 i get this:
Quote:
There are 1955 domains hosted on this IP address.
Here are a few of them:
1. 112quincyct.com
2. 1133scottstreet.com
3. 145hollister.com
4. ...

So these are blocks and blocks of virtual hosts, mostly e-commerce sites, and none have anything to do with each other.

You still haven't shown anything in your infinite wisdom that proves otherwise...so I guess I'm sorry you didn't find it first. For those 2 things to happen. The stars and the moon have to align...the sites are linked

We know that Van has announced via email that he needs to find a new way to get his message out because of the Mezin closing in on him. At about the same time, the DNS info for Van's domain mysteriously changed to information which led us to a new site.

That's entirely consistent with the idea of "Triton" just being a cover for Van.
Wait, lemme see if I have this right.

Van creates EHWR to warn us about / recruit us against the Mezin. These Mezin are smart people/ancients/aliens/things. They are smart enough to have the power to destroy a city. They are smart enough to find Van. They are smart enough to to find the website he was using to warm /recruit us making it unsafe to use as a communications tool. Van needs a new way to talk to us and he's going to do that through Triton. Yet, the Mezin aren't smart enough to do exactly what you did in order to find Triton?

That's what you're proposing is going on here?

That's how you handle being shown you're wrong? Accuse people of just being jealous?

Yeah, ok. Constructive.

We're all going solely by speculation. One of us is right. Which one might be decided on August 1st.
I don't mean to memberate, but I don't want a flamewar over nothing.

Viewing the source for tritonenterprises.net give me this

<!DOCTYPE > html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">

<html>
<head>
<title>Triton Enterprises</title>

<meta name="description" content="Building the future one vision at a time.">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="stylesheet.css" type="text/css" media="screen"/>
</head>

<body>
</body>
</html>

I checked out the web address they mention
http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd
and found the $date: 2002/08/01 13:56:03

August 01, 2002 1:56 and 3 seconds pm
I know the year is off, but the day is right on point. I found it strange and was wondering if this website is something that is normally added to source code, or if it may be a clue. If it is standard then I will shut my mouth and take this down.

Also- I scanned the rest of the page and didn't find anything out of the ordinary. But maybe someone else with more expertise would

Heh, well I also suggested that the puppetmasters might not be very bright in thinking parts of this game through.

But several of the other options don't track either.

Triton could be the Mezin, who have taken over Van's website. But then why not disable it, let alone stop him from sending any more emails through the domain? So that doesn't work.

I'll come back to this. It's still almost 100 degrees and I need to leave the house. Heh. My angle just seems more consistent to me -- for reasons I've argued here, and some I haven't yet, because I keep falling behind. But, mainly, I haven't heard any suggestion yet, from myself or anyone else, that doesn't seem to have holes in it.

Hence my other theory about the puppetmasters.

Welcome and good work, Iamfollowingthegame! Very Happy

They really made a specific date, here. Wonder why it's five years behind....

And I have a suggestion. Myself and others have made it before: We wait till August, apparently three seconds after 1:56 pm, of an unknown (by me) timezone. We simply don't have enough information yet.

Well, yes, welcome, and it's good to dig everywhere for clues. Unfortunately, that is the html validation link present on almost all "XHTML strict"-compliant websites.

ARGs give us all an opportunity to learn technical stuff about how websites work. In this case, you've wandered outside the game boundaries. No harm, no foul.

Fair enough I guess. I would say my postulation is more likely, but that's purely opinion.

I still am confused about something though. If you think these PMs are that half-assed, why are you playing the game and posting about it? Better yet, I'm certain that the PM's know of this place. Surely if they can develop a website like EHWR, they can at the very least use Google to see who is linking to them. Unfiction is pretty high in those results. So you're going to go on playing this game knowing that the PMs know that you think they suck?

Wow, man. Just ... wow.

Now, we're just making assumptions and getting angry at each other for no damn reason at all.
Let's all just calm down, now. I don't know what the PMs are thinking. Neither do any of you at the moment. All we know is that Triton, Haas, Mezin, and Mantra are all characters in what will happen on August 1st. Not July 11th, not July 10th, not January 18th, 2008, but August 1st.
We won't get any answers by arguing and flaming.

Your first mission is to create an account and then a new thread
entitled "Group Six". Your original post should be vague enough to
throw the dogs off of our scent, but include enough of a clue for
our bretheren to locate us.

See you there. Group Six is on track to be completely debriefed by
