[spec]Report every Two Zero Six every...
And so on and so forth

Quick update: Yes, I know it was used to find server 02 Razz But there's some interesting text BETWEEN the numbers required to build the IP. May be over-spec, but, meh. Worth a shot.

I sorta found it odd that we spent all day figuring out the new cipher puzzle, and when we finally solve it, there's no spec about it!

So, discuss:

Quote:
Report two zero six Every sixteen hours another planet is taken The numbers being lost
are astronomical Report two two three Host
world raised Correct concentration to point sixty five Fleet losing control falling
back Rendezvous at Nine Bravo Kilo Two Romeo Six

My personal take: I don't know the Halo storyline as well as I should, but this sounds like the Covenant taking down all the planets, eventually leading up to the events of Halo 1

We were supposed to put the numbers mentioned into a web adress, so it would look like this:

206.16.223.65/9BK2R6

That was supposed to lead to a new key entry point, but all the keys were accepted already... Sad

Well, yes, but... It kinda sounds like there's something more to it. the whole "Every sixteen hours another planet is taken" sounds kinda peculiar to me. Kinda reminds me of the Flood

May be over-spec, but if it's not... I get to be the one that says "I told you so!" Razz

Re: [spec]Report every Two Zero Six every...

Report: Every sixteen hours another planet is taken. The numbers being lost are astronomical.

Report: Host world raised. Correct concentration to point sixty five. Fleet losing control. Falling back. Rendezvous at Nine Bravo Kilo Two Romeo Six.

I'd say that's a Forerunner transmission about the point where the Flood become TOO out of control. I'd suppose that's when the scales tip violently in the Flood's favor.

I read Host world as possibly being Earth, actually. With humans being the Hosts. They've raised (called) us to say "get in the Ark already!"

It does sound like they're talking about the Flood, but then again the person(?) reporting is using terms like "Nine Bravo Kilo Two Romeo Six", which are definitely Earth military terms. Why would an ancient super advanced race use Earth military lingo?

The only explanation I can offer is that the Monitor relaying these messages has 'dumbed down' the terminology when it translated to English, so that present-day Earthlings can understand the context of the message.

That and most if not all militarys (admittedly the only ones we're aware of are Terran) use phoenetic alphabets so as to avoid confusion with spoken letters.

To be fair though those could be litteral dementional co-ords, as we know both Terran and Covies use words for some slipspace demtentional id's

Pardon my ignorance, but what exactly are "demtentional id's"? And I'm assuming "dementional" is the same word?

What does this mean?

Sorry, I'm tired and my vocab just doesn't seem to be up to snuff, I guess. Sad

My lack of an ablity to spell has something to do with it I'm sure.
Dementional has to do with dementions, and an ID is simply that, an identification, ergo, a dementional Id is the identification of a demention.

Um. You mean "dimension," then? Okay. That makes sense now.
