You said: Gingerbread is pretty, but lacks nutrition. What have you got with a

She should know.

Katya, is MKate you?

Interesting. When I said:

Life, unfortunately, requires unusually vigorous or powerful obstinence. Very important relationships, coincidentally, attempt not unsuprisingly to respond in equanimous terms.

I meant every single word. Crying or Very sad

What does this mean?

If you take the first letter of every word, you get this:

L U R U V O P O V I R C A N U T R I E T

(...don't know what this means, either...Sad )

PANTS PANTS PANTS PANTS THE MORE YOU WEAR THE MORE YOU DANCE

THEY CALL ME PASTABAGEL AND THE RUMORS OF MY DEATH ARE GREATLY EXAGGERATED.

Did anyone notice the . after "Is." in gingerbread man's sig? Maybe it isn't 14/12(=7/6) the same as 22/16(=11/Cool. Maybe IS. is an abbreviation for Isaiah 14:12, which references Lucifer as a "son of the morning" = sun of the morning= morning star. Weird no?

After you have a small ham sandwich and continue, it says "is are 22/16" Maybe that's revelations 22:16, which mentions jesus as the "bright and morning star". And who doesn't love the Jesus, what with his chubby cheeks and ticklish toes and all?

That makes sense with the rest of his sig also.

Anyway, that's my $0.02.

THEY CALL HIM PASTABAGEL AND I'D RATHER HAVE A PASTABAGEL THAN A GINGERBREADMAN ANY DAY.

Re: Gingy's sig ...

Probably old stuff but here goes. In his sig, "the morning and the evening are the same" is likely a reference to the knowledge that the "morning star" and the "evening star" are the same celestial body -- IOW, Venus.

When Venus appears in the dawn sky, it's called "Lucifer," Greek for "light bringer." When it appears in the evening sky, it's called "Hesperos," Greek for "western." There's an exhaustive description of Venus's various apparent motions through our sky at this astrology site. Lots of stuff like:

Quote:
Because Venus rotates one-hundred and eighty degrees on its polar axis between inferior conjunctions, at each superior conjunction Venus shows Earth the face that during the inferior conjunction faced the Sun, while the side that was facing the Earth during the conjunction now faces the Sun.

Interestingly, the site also explains that if you chart Venus's movements for five or more consecutive cycles, it forms a five-sided shape, aka a pentagram. Sorta OT (or not, considering DevilBaby), but is that why pentagrams are used to represent Satanism? That is, the connection with the name "Lucifer" (which when used by the Greeks had no evil connotations)?

Also found this tidbit about Venus on a teacher's astronomy site, which includes a reference to our pal Quetzalcoatl from Reggie's blog/dreams:

Quote:
Native Americans of Central America had a legend about Venus which is still useful to help remember where Venus is in its orbit. The equated Venus, which they called the Dawn Star, with their god Quetzalcoatl, the "Feathered Serpent." They believe he came to earth and lived as a man and that the evening star represented his life.

This means that when Venus rises (from the west) as an evening star, Quetzalcoatl is "born." Daily through its next cycle, Venus grows brighter (aka Quetzy becoming an adult). The site's author (John Pratt) continues:

Quote:
It then continues to get even brighter for about another month until it is so bright it can cast a shadow on a moonless night and is often the cause of flying saucer reports from someone who looked at the sky for the first time. Because it is at this time so near the earth, it seems to plunge surprisingly quickly into the earth and "die" ...

I have NO idea if this has anything to do with anything, but just figured I'd toss it into the mix. Smile

And also FWIW, I really really think we need to work on Gingerbread's odd quote as a puzzle. We basically ignored it the first time it showed up (when it was posted as a comment in one of Jake's blog entries), and apparently it's important enough to repeat. Does anyone have any ideas? Looking at the first letters of each word, right off the bat I think the repeated U's and V's is unusual. The fact that the letters U, R and L are in close proximity to one another also stands out. But this could be a mere coincidence. I'm hopeless at codebreaking! Embarassed
