Wow, have there really been 20 pages since I left last night, with no new information?

All we're doing is making this more and more complicated, even though we've only got a very simple, limited smattering of evidence. If we go in circles for another hundred pages, no one will be able to find out if and when there is new information.

Hey guys. I finally finished reading. Well, I read from pages 70 - the current... excuse me if I missed anything.

Anyway, there's a couple things I wanted to point out. First being, and although it's diminished, there's a lot of speculation on the "technical" side of things, as well as speculation about the Japanese language. The point of the viral marketing is to get hype about the movie and I doubt they would hide anything that would limit secrets only to techies or people who speak Japanese- I can't help but think the clues are much more simple, OR, there is simply more to come that we will just have to wait for.

Another thing I wanted to add is there's a lot of focus on "SLUSHO ZOOM" and zooming in on things... I think this is a dead end simply because Slusho Zoom! is obviously some sort of catch phrase or slogan, as it says it at least a couple times throughout the site...

That's my 2 cents... I'm more anxious to see the movie than I am to find out about what it is. I hope we don't find out until it's released to be honest.

Here you go. That's the clearest shot of the letters I can find. She's in motion, pretty much like everyone else except Rob, the Two Women, and the Cameraman, so the lettering is blurred. I suspect it's brighter than normal because it's white lettering, being lit by illumination from the street, against a dark background.

I'm just putting this out there for thought, since I saw it posted on another forum and it seems worthy of discussion:

Quote:
"in the trailer, when they are on the roof, and they see the explosion, then they go down stairs to the street, is the explosion they see from atop the building the same one where the flying statue head comes from?

if not, multiple giants monsters?

or is it just quick on it's feet."

I know a similar point has been raised before, that the monster couldn't have gotten from 401 Broadway to Manhattan Island that fast. Perhaps this means multiple monsters? which once again could hint to Rampage.

Anybody notice the graffiti on the wall on the roof as everyone is running back down the stairs? CR.... something? Also "2004 ACE".

There is only one explosion in the trailer, and it takes place on lower Manhattan, just south of the Bank of America building (f.k.a. the Woolworth building, which is what looks like the Empire State Building in that shot).

EDIT: just to clarify, 401 Broadway IS on Manhattan.

The "2nd" explosion seen as they run into the stairwell is from the flaming pieces of "shrapnel" that come flying out of the main explosion towards the camera. The camera follows them up into the sky, then turns and we see them land.

Simple physics.

As it's been stated before, in RAMPAGE the drink is Scum Soda. I would imagine if it were a Rampage movie, they'd use the same name for the beverage.

There are a couple things that complicate this. First, the street on which the end of the trailer takes place seems to be an amalgam of at least two other locations, one of which is near 401 Broadway.

Second, we don't have any indication that the monster did much of any traveling at all. We know that *something* caused that big explosion visible from the rooftop, but we don't know for sure that the same *thing* actually moved from far from that spot. We can be sure that, based on the trajectory of the SOL's head, the thing moved at least laterally so as to hurl the head down the street on pretty much a straight line, but that's all. We don't know how close to the camera the *thing* is.

It could be one *thing* or more than one. My bet is on only one *thing* since all the information we're given is that it's just one (including dialogue from the trailer).

I believe you misunderstood my post. I didn't say anything about there being two explosions, when there is clearly one shown in the trailer. I'm talking about the single explosion, but the Liberty head was thrown after the explosion, after the cameraman and a few characters had reached the street. I don't know the layout of New York very well, but from what I gather, the explosion did not happen near the Statue of Liberty, so the head should not have been rocketed like that. This means the monster either moved extremely fast from the location shown to the statue, or there was another cause for the statue's decapitation.

Not the best quality but you can make it out, and she seems to show the back of her jacket to the camera the whole time she is on screen

Can we just drop the Rampage nonsense? This film already has demonstrated far too much class to be based of it.

I highly doubt it's Rampage, I'm just pointing out some small possibilities. Razz

I'm still crossing my fingers for a Cthulhu Mythos story, however unlikely.

Could anyone find a map and point out exactly how far the statue is from the bank of america, near where the explosion happened? Maybe then I can get a better judgement of where the creature's position was, or how the damage was caused.

Possible Leads being overlooked...

Somebody a while ago mentioned the "ACE 2007" film festival, but it looks like it's been lost in the mass population of "OMGZ! T3H PULS3S!!!" posts...maybe they're going to show a new clip there? With more clues?

Nothing new, but putting one thing to rest the big explosion seen from the rooftop looking at the woolworth building causes a huge piece of shrapnel that hits the far right building i earlier speculated it was a smaller explosion not related, but it is

just follow the trajectory and you can see it in the trailer
