Rule Number 1

Pay attention to detail! lol That box was way too big wasn't it?

Now, take a closer look at the boxes. you may find.....

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
a map that might just be puzzle number 7. Box 1 and 2 line up. Box 3 seems to fit catty corner to the other two boxes!

Any luck with the passwords yet?
I've posted the info on the scroll from the 3rd puzzle, but in the wrong place. It's under "the legend of the king"

Well to answer my question from the other locked thread on how hard these puzzles are: Da Vinci's secret is really easy to open - took me about ten minutes. However I feel like I cheated as I just lined it up by eye rather than working out how it actually works Sad
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Checking it for hidden magnets with a compass had an unexpected bonus too in extracting the right piece for the next puzzle.

I won't feel that I've really cracked it properly until I've figured out how the markings on the puzzle fit into the solution, and what the clues on the sacredmythsandlegends.com site mean.

Still working on the password.

Do you have the password in any other language? We can't seem to find one in English!

So you know the passwords based on the scrolls and solving the puzzles?

I got this by deleting bits of the URL and going to the parent directory. But how does it help? Any ideas?

Exactly - I guessed the other URL's for the other prizes and then also found the parent directory, so no havent solved the clues to work out the password sorry.

Can't say I really understand any of the clues given to be able to solve any of the puzzles, yet have solved Davinci - easy enough to "pick" the lock by feel. Equation seems tricky, havent solved that. Got Legend of the King today - solved in 2 minutes - very easy to pick.

Once opened, Legend of the King:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

has 2 wooden pieces in it - a flat disk with a hole in it towards its edge, and a small cube. The scroll says

"Stones are within magic's control - one on its own the others from Eire."

"The round table not only unites the clan but shapes the temple quest. WIthin the castle lies a clue, but not the treasure"

So has anyone gotten close to working out any of the passwords ? I'm completely stumped at the moment !

The Equation is also defeating me at the moment, can't work out what the equations have to do with solving the puzzle (probably nothing), or how the outcome of Da Vinci's Secret helps to solve The Equation either. Needless to say the clue hasn't helped much either !

Well, I got all three puzzles last friday and solved them all Saturday Sad thought the wooden puzzles would be a little more difficult. No I haven't worked out the clues to get the actual passwords yet. At least that appears to take more time...

Didn't start reading this thread until I was done and completely missed the idea to break apart puzzle 1. Now I have to go home tonight and see what that was all about and how it would have helped me solve puzzle 2.

Puzzle 2 - for anyone who has solved it did the dark blocks create a symbol for you? or is there more than 1 way to put the blocks together?

I was thinking that the clue on the post of puzzle 1 was the clue to help solve puzzle 2 or at least that was what I used to get started.

Anyway nice to see a thread here and maybe we can discover those blasted passwords....

Ok, now that I took apart puzzle 1, I think I see what it is. It's not marks "like" what is on the base of #2, it's a very vague outline of some of the pieces as they are laid out in the solution. Showing you where the angle pieces are placed. Unfortunately my solution doesn't seem to fit the clue. So either I found an alternate solution or I'm WAY off on what the marks are.

Anybody else solved "The Equation" that wants to compare, or I could always upload a pic of my solution for evaluation Wink

OK, so just to make it that little bit harder (like I needed that Rolling Eyes ) I dropped The Equation down the side of the bed last night. Can any kind soul confirm the number of pieces I should have - I'm not sure I've found all of them ?!
