Eric paces about room then approaches camera. Switches to Codemaster's face then goes black. During this section, a very faint face can be seen which after some fiddling can be seen as the masked face of the kidnapper, moving up and down.

Six clicks can be heard during black screen at end of video.

[Note: I wasn't around at this point, but I remember the code "Matthew ten colon thirty plus" also having the word clicks on the end. So that would make the entire clue "Matthew ten colon thirty plus clicks."]

So Matthew 10:30 plus "clicks" is plus 6.

Video #3 - My pet needs to eat – help him (21st October '06)

The Codemaster is seen celebrating Passover, a jewish religious festival.

The Four Cups represent the four expressions of deliverance promised by God in Exodus6:6-7: "I will bring out," "I will deliver," "I will redeem," and "I will take."

Codemaster goes through the following stages of Seder.

• Blessing & first cup of wine
• Wash hands
• Appetizer – a vegetable dipped in salt water
• Breaking of the middle matzah
• Invitation to the Seder – the matzoh are uncovered
• The recital of the ten plagues - Each participant removes a drop of wine from his or her cup using a fingertip. A mnemonic acronym for the plagues is also introduced: "D'tzach Adash B'achav", while similarly spilling a drop of wine for each word. He only spills two drops of wine here (actually he puts two drops of wine on to the plate – at the 8 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions, which may or may not be inconsequential).
• The ritual washing of hands
• The sandwich – the bitter herbs are combined with a piece of matzoh
• The meal – the festive meal is consumed.

Some of the 'narrative' stages of the Passover celebration are missed out.

The z'roa (roasted shank bone) is missing. The outstretched arm of the z'roa (which actually means arm, from the verse "outstretched arm") expresses the giving nature of love. Love is the root and single most important of all emotions – the ability to give, reach out and care for others.

Apologies to any Jewish people if I have mis-spelt anything or have been a little reductive.

Can we deduce that the kidnapper is Jewish, or is it merely a case of it being symbolic of freedom and slavery?

We are then invited to find the only solid source of food which contains all the essential nutrients to sustain human life as Eric will only get the one source of food.

The answer is cat food (a clue posted by the Codemaster pointed to a quotation by the woman with the highest IQ, Marilyn von Savant, who allegedly claimed that dog food - not cat food - was the only solid food that contained everything a human needs to live).

Is the black cat named Sunny or is there a deeper meaning?

Then, the black cat and Eric are humorously paralleled.

Eric finds a huge bag of Friskies (cat food). A black cat is seen looking into the camera. Eric and the cat are shown eating Friskies.

A pair of sandaled feet is shown walking across sand. The left foot is tattooed with the Christian fish symbol.

The black cat is shown running along an alley about to enter a yard and another shot of the kidnapper at prayer is shown.

Footage of Eric running around a track is shown.

The kidnapper finishes prayer and walks behind the camera.

Caption: "The future is hell. Secrets will guide you. I'm waiting."

The music is "Abide With Me."


As screen fades, reverse speech is heard: "I'm waiting too." I think this is Eric's voice also.

I think either 1) Eric is the overall pm, he edits the videos so he would do the voice, or 2) It is supposed to be Eric and somehow he edited the video and is TDC (kind of a stretch).

Eric reads a statement to camera concerning the kidnapper's 'demands'. We are invited to solve all of his mysteries and Eric will be set free and we (the players) will be 'saved'. We are shown several shots of these 'mysteries'.

The captions:

• Keep Eric alive until the end of my story (one flashing 'dot' appears here).
• And I'll set him free (backdrop of sun glare).
• Figure out all of my secrets (a woman sitting on a sofa, an open door, a statue of Jesus lit by a torch, blooded clothes buried in a hole in the ground, the mask) and you will be saved (note the implication that it is the players who will be saved rather than Eric). Three flashing 'dots' appear beneath the second part of the caption.

Eric's voice is heard, saying "Relax. Nobody knows about this."

He finds the plastic container filled with disgusting pond water and gets pretty upset. He says he can't drink the water, we hear a knock and flashes of that Christmas song (from Home Alone).
