Things I randomly noticed and expanded on.

You'd think if someone from bungie was reading this thread, they could at least fix the date/time stamp on the third camera.

Maybe the time stamp on the pie cam has some significance. The reports (http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=20095 sound like the forerunners talking about the flood. We know the flood convert the atmosphere of the planet they take over so maybe the exposure and internal temp on the pie cam is referring to that. It just seems strange to me to have a room at 110 degrees plus when most buildings are around 70 degrees.

And regarding the first cam, don't the sticky notes sound like the second report. It talks about the fleet losing control and falling back. If I were a forerunner I would probably have some kind of automated defense system or protocol in place somewhere. The Bravo Company mentioned in the post its could be referring to a second line of defense the forerunners had in place just in case they had to fall back. There also are some of the military letter code thing (can't remember the name) at the end of the report. Hotel Echo could have something to do with that.

Now that I have expressed my ideas, I'm gonna go over in the corner and enjoy some pie.

Smile You don't work a whole lot with computers do you? I assumed the "Internal Temp" reading came from a sensor inside the case (which would naturally be warmer than the room temperature). Where I live its celcius, so the reading is meaningless to me.

I don't work on computers so I wouldn't think about having a temp sensor in your computer. I don't know anyone who would put a temp sensor in their computer but it seems to me like a good idea. That does make me think about the overheating scare that went on when the 360 was launched. I remember hearing people talk about moding their 360's with inter-coolers and whatnot to make sure it doesn't overheat. I came up with that theory because I just so happened to have the Slide_Ref image open for some reason and it just hit me. Just grasping for straws I suppose.

Correction: that's "AR wuz" [here]. And I think that someone had already guessed that's what it said.

Heh Noccy. Given it's bungie we are talking about, what makes you think the timestamp on the third camera is broken? It's probably deliberate, or a red herring. Or a Deliberate red herring. This is Bungie remember Razz

Given that the camera is changing constantly, it doesn't seem likely that the time itself has much significance, but instead the offset from the "real" time. We don't know which timezone that real time would be, or why that offset would be interesting. Some people have tried messing with epoch timestamps without much success (http://www.epochconverter.com/).

7/13 morning camera image

New image from this morning. Leftmost sticky changed from HOTEL ECHO to "BIRD IS DOWN / REQUEST IMMEDIATE / -- EVAC --"

Why doesn't the wiki have any mention at all of the cameras? At least in the "points of interest" section. Are we still that unsure that they have any significance? Are these images being archived somewhere? I notice in this thread that we're missing yesterday's HOTEL ECHO picture, which someone should probably put up in a post earlier than this one.

Bungie has always had webcams available online. There's no reason why they would use it for the ARG. It's their little gimmick, something fun they do for inside jokes and such. Don't expect anything in-game there unless a monitor hacks its way into the Bungie offices and takes over the building or their network Razz

If anything shows in-game there, it'll be quite obvious. At most, possibly the webcam feed might get hacked and replaced, along the same lines as AR posting in the bungie.net forums. But sticky notes? nup...

eta: of course if they're reading this, then just to spite, they might just do something like that now Razz
But the current stickies? joke... funny... laugh, haha Laughing

The request for evacuation is denied because the Landing Zone is hot (enemy fire). For any of you wondering what that means.

Although the Not for Me ---- has me stumped.

didn't think it would have to be explained...
it's a joke. Like "I'm so hot". ..."The LZ is too hot!" "Not for me!"

Dropship is down, request immediate evacuation, request denied, landing zone is too hot, (not for me) its either from the level in halo two were you crash in new mombasa or the level were you infiltrate the covenant ship in halo 1.

Big Master Chief is taking cover from something.

Bird is.........l.......request..................l......not

Like TheBruce said and like I said last page, it's clearly bungie leading us on. I mean they appear to have something on them, but I see little revelance to IRIS as it stands. Especially with the "AR WUZ HERE"

Bungie love tormenting their fans. If that wasn't obvious. Very Happy
