37-38 seconds into the trailer you hear a woman say "the myth"
I'm listening to your version, and the apple hi-res version. I don't hear it. Can anyone else confirm this?

She doesn't actually seem to say anything but her lips are moving, problem there is that we only catch part of the conversation, so it could be anything she is/was saying
no it sounds like a voiceover because i dont see women talking and it sounds clearer *well to me, anyway*

I hear it too. It's just as you cut from the woman saying something you can't hear to the wide shot of the party crowd. I'm not too sure if the voice says "The Myth" but it is there and it is female.

Between the woman talking but you can't hear anything the next thing I hear is a woman laughing rather loudly with a shot of the party and then a roar and the lights go out.

37 - you see a girl in the crowd say something but you can't hear it, most likely to the crowd noise of the party.
38 - Wide shot of party crowd. You hear a girl laugh.
39 - You hear a female voice say something (The Myth?) followed by the lights flickering.
40 - Lights go out, building shakes and you hear a roar.
[EDIT] I listened to this a few times on my laptop. Then decided to do the same on my PC which has a high def sound system. This time I went to the actual HD trailer at the Apple Trailer site. I could hear the female voice clearly enough to tell it's there. I'm still not sure she is saying "The Myth" though.
[EDIT the 2nd] There there seems to be a time discrepancy between the YouTube version of the trailer and the one on Apple Trailer.

Something wrong here then. I'm watching the HD version.
40 the screen is just black with the remnants of the roar
39 the roar starts
38 cuts to party and laugh
36 cuts to woman talking

The times I gave were from the YouTube version, which could explain the time lag. More than likely there's a few seconds missing from when the Apple HD version was copied to the YouTube file. Happens often. That's why I gave the scene descriptions along with the seconds.

There is something said right after the first roar by a lady ... but I can't make it out and these spoken words that I'm referring to are very audible ...

Well it is said right before the lights go out in the trailer about 38-39 seconds into it.

See, I actually thought that was *part* of the roar, albeit in a completely different register. Listening to it closely, I can see why you would interpret that as "the myth".
However, I think the roar has three parts: the first part, which sounds like "the myth" (lights are on, things start shaking); the more guttural growl (more shaking, lights go out), and then a more mid-register sigh/grunt (complete darkness).

I agree that there do seem to be three stages to the roar, maybe this is confusing people?

I'm going to have to agree to disagree, which is all good.
With the sound system I have on my PC the audio is extremely clear and crisp. I distinctly hear a female voice just before the roar. It is very monotone, smooth and human.

Does the female voice sound like it's coming from right next to the camera to you? I thought it had too much reverb-- I thought it was intended to sound/feel big.
Okay, and on second listening with headphones, the sound is definitely enveloping both sides (weird that this handcam has stereo capabilities) while the music in the background sounds further off.
Edit: Let me clarify. It sounds like the "female voice" is enveloping *everything*. Like it's an all-pervading sound, much louder then the music. It would be a heck of a trick for someone to sneak up on the cameraman and say "the myth" (not to mention it doesn't make much sense to me). So yeah- we will agree to disagree and see what other cool things come out of this!

I will agree on that, whatever the sound is it comes from all sides and not a specific direction. Even the roar seems to have a depth and direction.

Can anyone try and capture an audio file of "The Myth"?
