So do you think it's some sort of PM "test"?
Or maybe they really aren't looking for PMs and signing up to be a PM is part of the game?

I have no idea cem, but following your lead, I'll put spoilers around most of this.
but the code at the bottom of the map...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
East 2 North 1 West 1 East 1 South 1 East 3
West 1 North 1 South 1 East 1 South 2 East 2
South 1 West 2 East 1 West 1 East 3 West 1 North 1
West 1 North 1 South 1 North 2 East 1 North 1
South 1 East 2 South 1 West 1 South 1 East 1 West 1
North 1 East 2 West 1 East 3 South 2 East 2
West 1 North 1 South 1 East 1 South 2 East 2 South 1
East 3 West 1 North 1 West 1 North 1 South 1 North 2
East 1 North 1 West 2 East 1 South 1 West 1 South 1
East 1 South 1 West 1 North 1 East 1 West 1 South 1 East 1
What could it mean?

I think it might use lat/long to lead to another loaction.
Here's a good (and larger) map of Angkor.
http://geocities.com/macsida/angkor_wat
On these same pages the closest I could get to a lon/lat that might be relevant was:
Angkor Wat
A: 103*54'00'' 13*25'48''
B: 103*02'00'' 13*24'44''
I don't know what the "B" set is for...but the site deals alot with sundials and equinoxi (wd?). Haven't done anything like this before so I'm not exactly sure where to find a map that will give a grid in order to "count"
1 North, 2 South etc....
Another puzzle is mysterious alignment of world's ancient sites. Easter Island is exactly aligned along a straight line around the center of the Earth, with the Nazca lines, Ollantaytambo and the Great Pyramid of Egypt. Other world wonders that are within one tenth of one degree of this alignment include: Perseopolis, the capital city of ancient Persia; Mohenjo Daro, the ancient capital city of the Indus Valley; the Oracle of Zeus-Amon at Siwa; and the lost city of Petra. The Ancient Sumarian city of Ur and Angkor temples in Cambodia and Thailand are within one degree of latitude of this alignment.

Where did you find this? Is this a quote, or just personal knowledge? I ask because this could come in quite handy at the Stone (www.thestone.com)

Personal Knowledge...lol...in one word...NO...
Hope the following helps. I'm not going to bother posting it in a spoiler as people can as easily click on a link as they can highlight a spoiler. (And I'm not so sure it has anything to do with anything anyway...lol)

One other interesting quote on the subject from a similar line of thought:
As John Grigsby says in his discussion of the relationship between the temples of Angkor in Cambodia and the constellation Draco, "If this is a fluke then it's an amazing one....

It's interesting to note:
That there are only 1's, 2's, and 3's....and a whole lot of 1's at that. Maybe this is normal, I wouldn't know.

And the thing that perplexes me is that the directions (if that's what they are) tell us more than once things like:
East 2 North 1 West 1 East 1 South 1 East 3
Why go West 1, East 1? Wouldn't you end up at North 1?
Doesn't make sense. So methinks maybe they're not directions to "find" X marks the spot, but something else.

The above I found randomly on a web page somewhere, but it got me thinking about constellations. I plotted the co-ordinates on graph paper, and of course went to look at DRACO first. Very, very close. Anyone who has more knowledge in this area might want to look at it. Although I'm unsure why the map of Angkor was included other than to possibly point in the direction of the correct constellation. I'm not sure but it looks very, very close to DRACO (although I think the very end of the tail may be missing....and maybe it's something else).

Code:
can you post your results? maybe in a fixed font format like in the code block?
32 6
x 1 54
7 8
this is the first 2 lines, starting from the x, not counting when you have to retrace your steps (limitations are that the lines have to be horizontal or vertical, not diagonal lines)

This is about as close as I can come to showing what it sort of looks like....I am not "file-saavy" and not sure how to do it any other way.
The part that has me stuck on Draco are the 3 lowest points and the one immediately above those three, and the "tail" like representation.

Okay, having seen what cemgate did, I was able to reproduce the plot.
Treating each of the 10 lines on map.html as a separate "Star", and since we only care about the end points, I crossed off the directions that cancelled each other out (north 1 + south 1 = no movement).....
and then I labelled my "Stars" 1-9,A with A being the 10th line.
Note, Line 3 has a net of no movement, so that is exactly where I started for each line.
And I got this:
Code:
-----48-----
------------
------------
-----3----1-
----A-9-----6
-------2----
------57----
you can see the "head" of draco at the bottom, and the little loop how it would go up and then back and to the right.

At this time we can say that Draco is not the answer we were looking for in regards to the puzzle we sent out to people who sent in incomplete or bogus surveys.
