I just emailed our dearly departed friend. We'll see if that gets me a butterfly or a response.
I'm going to try and breakdown the butterfly files and see if there is anything in the coding. Will report back after lunch...

Check the timehole forum for the estimated release date.
What makes me a little nervous is this statement :
Quote:
We would like to clarify for you that Timehole is not another ARG (Don't start this again Patrick!) We are just providing you with the software to solve the puzzle of the Timeholes that are appearing all over the world!

Not sure yet how much connection there is between MeiGeist and Plasm, but since two of the characters are involved you should definitely check out the Timehole videos. Heck, even if there is no connection those videos are too good to miss. There should also be a video of the live meeting with Pat&Dave on youtube somehwere.
Will do so -- thank you!
I'm also going to have to see if I can get the Windows side of my Macbook's already split personality to think it's a PDA. That computer is going to need therapy one of these days..! I suppose it's what I get for not getting a high-tech phone.

I tried to animate it. Didn't make a big difference. You can take a look if you want.

Not sure if this means anything, but has anyone else noticed that certain butterflies are asymmetrical. Specifically butterflies 9, 10, and 12? Maybe some significance there?

It certainly COULD mean something in the future. Nice note.

I find the phrasing of that odd... does that mean that Mr. Plasm met Carl Sagan after he was dead? Assuming they were both passed on when they became friends, it would have to be sometime after December 20, 1996.
No idea if this is at all relevant.

I think we're at the point where speculation will get us nowhere, and all we can do is wait for the next clue.

Regarding the fact that this isn't an ARG: yeah, it's more of a demo for the new GPS technology (can't remember the proper name at the moment).
However, it looks like Jon and Hazel are giving us this demo in an ARG-format: in other words, we get the new demo via the fun interaction of an ARG.
Still looking for a PDA...

I have to wait for the 22nd to even think about buying a GPS PDA
I've been thinking about how a PDA will serve me, since I'm not going to buy one just for a bit of fun. I guess I will find a use for it, and GPS is always useful.

I have collected 3 PDAs over the past 13 years, mostly gathering dust now. With GPS they are great as car navigation systems- but other than that I don't see PDAs as very useful.

Well, since you're in Bristol, you could just go to that live event that they 'might' be having. They'll provide the equipment and you can bust some Timeholes with Pat and Dave themselves.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Translating the butterfly's numbers directly to letters gives ARCHIBALD.
But who is Mr Archibald Plasm?
Founders of HP are Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard . Is it coincidence that it's so close to an anagram of "Bill, Pac(k)ard sham"?
