Bringing it all back together

I have no real prior experience with ARGs other than knowing that they're something that people do and those that do seem to like them. So what I'm going to ask you guys to do is help me to understand how this is an ARG? I've been reading this thread for a bit and there might have been the one page that I didn't read where you guys came to come agreement that this was or wasn't, sorry, I didn't read that post, which is why I'm asking.

I'm looking at it and from what my friends have explained to me in the past about how ARGs work this really dosn't have the trappings of one. Again, I am speaking out of ignorance (which it why I'm asking you all). Aren't ARGs a little more fast paced? And by fast paced I mean in respect to the fact that there is more going on other than finding out some dudes name through the WHOIS info. The first ARG I was introduced to was Ilovebees and there was way more going on there, I mean with the audio files that had the voice actors and the GPS locations that people were answering phones and such, people were finding out info from shit in image files. I'm not seeing that stuff here. It seems too surface level. I mean like the little spooky guy in the picture with the two chicks. Once its pointed out to you, you'll always see it regardless of if you want to or not. That dosn't take very much detective work on our parts to nail that bad boy down. Isn't there supposed to be some kind of corispondance with some group? I mean e-mails that send you places or phone calls to your house saying they know, that you know, that they know, and that you should tell others so that they can know that others know that you know?

I got caught up in the Ethan Haas stuff, but the question that Tinag222 brought up about "How again are they connected" jumped into my head and I started wondering what it was that I was really looking at if they weren't connected. Right around that point I found this forum and that brings us to today.

If we break this down what we currently have is a site with some moving pictures. Sure we could pick those apart but really, it seems like they're just providing a time line of the event and no doubt there are going to be more pictures showing us other stuff, throw in a little flash to make it interesting so you can move things around and that's that.

The movie is being done by people who did Lost...Lost...do you not think that they're really into making sure you have no F'ing clue what's going on. Their whole gig is speculation. Out of the gates, they've won. How? They haven't really told you anything and you want to know more. But I'm thinking that's where it ends.

Slusho...ok so dude is wearing that shirt, there is a site. It tells a little back story about the family, and the drink and such. Where does it go after that to further the information about said movie? Sure they're tied together in some way, but I have a hard time believing that when you get down to brass tacks that the movie is going to be based on or a large part of the monster/whatever attacking is all because of a company that makes slurpees? I'll admit that I don't know either way, but just as I noted before there dosn't seem to be a whole lot that is going on with this "game" and its getting to the point where every little flash of light is a huge clue.

Where is the proverbial bone that JJ Abrams is throwing out that makes you believe that this is a game? This all comes back to my lack of an understanding of what an ARG really is and how they work. I mean this could be exactly how it works. Maybe I only think there should be more going on and more information circulating because when it was explained to me a lot of stuff went on and I was told about lots of movement but I didn't participate so I don't know.

Where I'm at now is that I'm starting to think that just like with Lost, they're giving us a little bit of information just enough to keep us interested or wondering or talking about the trailer. I hope that's not the case. I got really into the whole Ethan Haas thing and I really wanted them to be tied together. We'll know on Aug 1st for damn sure if there is anything tied in.

This is actually moving exactly like a prelaunch arg. Expect a full launch sometime in the next month or so.

I think the best clue of slusho can be found in the history. They say, that they had so search in the deep sea to find this "special" ingredient.

So i think, the Monster possibly came from the Sea. In relation to this whole japanese stile, i think it could also be a japanese myth Monster or else.

But the Creature also sounds a little bit like a whale. And the Sentence "It's alive" could be important of this fact, that this monster normally isn't a living object.

I was listening to whale sounds and it has similarities, the one thing that caught my attention is that the blue whale(188db) is 48 decibels louder than a jet (140db)engine and is the loudest creature on earth. Yikes.

.

Agree.
I think maybe we're supposed to recognise the history from somewhere, maybe in a more common form, thats been 'japanized' and 'childified' on Slusho.jp.

Told you guys to think about the "Its alive" line.... anyways lets try using that line and looking through the slusho site now. It should help us pick up on something.

EDIT: Guys I think there might be a lead on researching Ganu. He becomes the "enormous whale". If we're looking for something alive and huge thats the best bet to go for probablly.

one Moment, i possibly found something.

It's Alive, It's HUGE

An the following part of the history, about this dream of Ganu. He was a tiny fish, that grew to a whale by drinking that new ingredient

Ok enuff is enuff i have watched this thread grow and there are soo

many posts that have been duplicated that for a new person to catch up

is just not fair and they might have a vital input to solving this

predicament.

So as of now this is my last post on this thread unless there is a new or

significant development on the information that is presented.

How many other posters are willing to do the same?

Movie clues...

asSlusho is obviously is connected. Within that site will be hints... so there may be another site to find from there.

The Hanso foundation site has a hidden message. But I suspect that's a LOST thing. I don't follow that show. But I suspect that the kind of things we find will be like that... exploring sites that get identified as obviously related. Doing things with hidden numbers just doesn't seem like fun or even interesting... the fun is finding the things hidden in the obvious.

Thats how you solve a puzzle like this.

No, it isn't. Not really.

Imagine you have a couple puzzle pieces in front of you and you and your friends want to put it together. You need more pieces, so you start searching everywhere for them. You find a few things that look like pieces, but you also find a shoe (because some of the pieces are brown and the shoe is brown, too!), a ham sandwich (because pressed ham is put together from other scraps of ham, like a puzzle!), and a jigsaw (jigsaw - jigsaw puzzle! Get the connection!).

Now you know that the shoe, the sandwich, and the jigsaw don't really belong to the puzzle. Sure, it may be fun talking about the process by which pressed ham arrives to you in sandwich form, but it doesn't actually get you closer to putting the pieces you have together.

That's what all the crazy speculation really is. It's finding shoes and sandwiches when what you need are pieces and perhaps a key as to how the pieces fit together.
