[SPEC] Next Server coming ~August 1st?
Two shreds of evidence say yes...

It's getting late here, so I'll just give you the quick and dirty:

This symbol seen in the Server 02 video was interpreted by some as a countdown. That struck a chord with me, as I'd seen a very similar clock a few weeks earlier (check the bottom of the post for the comparison).

Sticking with the conventions set by the Polar Clock, this clock glyph shows (moving from the outermost ring inward) a countdown of days, hours, minutes, and seconds. Assuming that the days are measured as part of a lunar month (~30 days) -- keep in mind that SOTA is big on the lunar cycle -- then the portion shown in the clock glyph should account for about 75% of that, or around 22 days. According to this calendar app, the date of the Server 02 discovery (July 10th) plus 22 days brings us to August 1st.

Normally I wouldn't bother posting a connection this tenuous, but the conclusion ties well into an intriguing piece of spec posted by ii otnemem ii on ABO, and reposted by NightmareRec0n here:

Consider the "spokes" of the wheel numbered 1 thru 5, starting with 12 o'clock and going clockwise.
If we assume that the servers are going to be opening in rotation order (NOT NAME ORDER), and that the rotation of the spoke on the glyph ON the server keeps the same pattern, the third server should open when the moon is lined up with the third spoke (though it may not be called "Server 03"). Remember: The first server to open was called "Server 05" (for a while). I don't believe that this is a "typo" as some put it, what with the other 1/5 swap on the FCC slide.

The glyph on its side, under the vent was pointing at the first spoke, 12 o'clock. The glyph on StarImage1 pointed to the 5th spoke. For Server 02, the glyph on the side was at the second spoke, while the glyph on StarImage2 was at the 4th spoke. As if one is counting up, the other is counting down.

Going on this theory/evidence:
**The third server should open between August 1-3.
**The fourth server should open between August 22-24.
**The fifth server should open between Sept. 10-12.

There are a LOT of other tie-ins to this, as you can probably see. Look at major events in the ARG and they will mostly match up with a glyph spoke/lunar phase.

So, by this same logic, AdjutantReflex's avatar could be the same thing: the moon being the inner, smaller circle INSIDE or on top of the Earth. Reminds me of a certain ARK we have all been talking about.

So, please post ideas, tie-ins, events and dates that will sync up with spokes and the Moon and whatnot. ARG ON!

I'll leave it to someone more motivated (and less sleepy) than I to puzzle out exactly how much time the clock glyph really shows, and the exact moment that it's indicating. In the meantime, what do you guys think?

PS: I have no clue what relation if any this supposed clock glyph has to do with the other one glimpsed later on in the same video. Sad Now please excuse me while I sleep...

I actually quite like this theory. It makes a lot of sense. The thing in the recent server video definitely reminded me of a countdown or a control in some way. Like a digital LED control on a stereo almost. But now that I look at that clock, I see a lot familiarity. However, one problem-The clock has all "starting" points at a vertical, North polar. But the one in the video looks completely random. Though judging by it, it looks like things are "growing" out at different speeds from the Southern polar.

Lunar month is 28 days give or take the odd hour.

I don't think so... Google gives me "1 lunar month = 29.53059 days", and Wiki confirms it ("29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes and 3 seconds").

Probably. I was taught it was 28 days but that knowledge was given to me many moons ago. I still think I am right that the SOTA applications will start on the 15th.

Has it been discussed that this image is just like the face of the spartan revealed in the beta?

I like this theory too, and I agree that it would be much simpler to decode (even if it were not in days/hours/etc.) if they began at a synchronized point. Of course we can still take percentages.

I do the 28/30 days mixup quite often. For reference, most month-judges are roundable to 27 days, but are between 27 and 28. The "most common" definition of lunar month is also the only one roundable to 30 days (none round to 29, and 1 rounds to 28 ). Of course, the thing that makes me mess up is the 28-day human female menstrual cycle (I'm a biomedical engineering student, forgive me!). If you're curious, the second closest cycle length is the female opossum (also 28 days, but if I'm correct slightly farther away).
