I feel like I am stretching on this since I have no way of knowing if the song is actually related to anything but I noticed a similar pattern in the first row of cups to the timing in the melody - although a bit out of order.

Nine notes, nine cups? Ehhh...

I honestly think the music is a dead-end. I think the theme at slusho.jp is too vague to be useful -- it's embedded in a contrapuntal texture and it's tough to identify exactly what the tune *is* (e.g., what _exactly_ is the last pitch of the phrase in of the upper voice? You can't tell -- because it's pitch-bent). I think if the clue was in the music, it would be more deliberately homophonic and obvious.

Just $0.02.

Hold the phone.

Can someone with a screen snap (or better memory than me) check out slusho.jp? It looks to me like the arrangement of cups at the bottom of the page has changed since yesterday.

You can compare it to the original at http://www.slusho.jp/swf/index.swf

I think it's the same, but I'm not going to dive into the pixels to prove it.

The cups on the right are different, I think. I thought that yesterday the ones that were "out of line" were all clustered together -- in a group of 3 -- in front. Now, they've been shuffled.

If it's what I think it is, you would need to check the pixels. Hope this isn't a goose chase -- I don't trust my memory completely on this.

Did anybody save a copy?

Nope

It hasn't changed. It's been (from the left) 4th, 11, 13th, and 14th forward for a while.

The 14th is in the back... Is that the same?

"FRESH FOR YOU"
=
Heroes of Fury
Hero of Furys

The furies were often connected with the goddess Nemesis and Nike. According to Wiki, when they were not actively working here, they hung out in a place called Tartarus, a greek version of hell.

In an interesting twist, Tartarus was also the father of Typhon, a monster in greek mythology.

"Typhon is the offspring of Gaia and Tartarus. His mate is Echidna and both were so fearful that when the gods saw them they changed into animals and fled in terror. Typhon's hundred, horrible heads touched the stars, venom dripped from his evil eyes, and lava and red-hot stones poured from his gaping mouths. Hissing like a hundred snakes and roaring like a hundred lions, he tore up whole mountains and threw them at the gods.

Zeus soon regained his courage and turned, and when the other gods saw him taking his stand, they came back to help him fight the monster. A terrible battle raged, and hardly a living creature was left on Earth. But Zeus was fated to win, and as Typhon tore up huge Mount Aetna to hurl at the gods, Zeus struck it with a hundred well-aimed thunderbolts and the mountain fell back, pinning Typhon underneath. There the monster lies to this very day, belching fire, lava and smoke through the top of the mountain. "

Re Satoshi's whois info just linked on the last page

The text just shows for me as squares, and then there is this:

18 Palace Plaza

Can someone who can read that check where this might be, see if it's legit or not? And where the hell it is?

EDIT: Oh well hell....lmao

I went with just palace plaze and got this right off. Had to laugh.

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Palace_Plaza

But from that search, it's showing up with a lot of hotels.....I just can't read the little squares to tell if this is supposed to be an addy for Satoshi, or if it's for something else that doesn't have anything to do with anything.

Has anyone translated the Japanese characters on the bottom of the Slusho! pages?

I was looking at a Hiragana alphabet, but I could only get like 4 of the characters figured out. The others weren't on there. Possibly conjunctions or proper nouns?

You need to install the Japanese language pack for Windows. If you use IE you go to View then encoding. (I think) But after it's installed you can see the Japanese letters instead of boxes. Smile

Yeah....I didn't really pay for my copy of XP, so I can't install the language packs. The best I could do is find images of Japanese character maps and try to find the proper symbols. Any out there with the language pack installed mind trying to figure it out?
