[META][TRAILHEAD] 1-18-08: Possible new arg/puzzle?

 		Back again...
quick update...
Well, I'm back with an update.

My former co-worker said he saw the trailer at POTC:AWE, and so I asked other people who knew, and they had the same story. HOWEVER, an idea struck my mind.

What if my local drive-in screwed up the ads and put it in that way. I investigated. That was the problem. So no, it's not product placement....to my knowledge.

3RD PIC.

Check out 1-18-08 and work on it.

off to a 2 week hiatus.

Okay, I can either point out that his post has been covered already in a short three-line post, or a dozen folks can show up with multi-paragraph posts about how Lovecraft used to enjoy frozen drinks when he was a child and how he once knew someone from Japan. I prefer the shorter option.

More drivel, I now see why people are PMing me ideas instead of posting them here. That is your unknown affect, and how you are helping kill the team concept.

For the record: I meant force them to read up by not replying genious.

 		Just an additional sighting in the trailer
I know this doesn't help move anything forward in terms of getting info on the movie, but I thought I would add something cool I've seen!

If you watch the HD trailer frame-br-frame at 1:25, and you watch between the two buildings in the background, I believe you can see something huge moving by. It's all shadows and reflected light, but a big shape seems to be moving to the left. Check it out and let me know if I'm crazy.

It's not an unknown effect. I realize what's happening and I'm rather glad it's that way.

The team concept is alive and well. It's happening in five or six different threads where people are digging into clues we actually have and breaking them down and bouncing ideas about them off of each other. What they're not doing very much at all is inventing stuff that's not been seen in the trailer or the site we do know about. They're not confusing conjecture with clue.

But look, you do things your way and I'll do things mine.

I've been over that a few times because I thought it might lead to a clue. to my eyes, it's just the roiling of the smoke and debris that's there. Smoke is really tricky for the brain. Like clouds, we're wired to create patterns to sort out what we're seeing. That's honestly what I think's going on in the smoke.

Yes, its the smok everyones been talking about.
Seems to move awkwardly for smoke though, is it just me?

Looking at the HTML source reveals the background image source:

So it's a map of YWCA locations in Japan.. Pretty strange.. Never thought the YWCA would be involved in a monster attack..

THE STRANGEST THING about the page is that some text was removed between yesterday and today.. A line in rather large print, something to the extent of

 		It's not legit as in directly connected to 1-18 as an in game site. It's got the cantdrinkjustsix.com domain registered the other day and forwards in a frame to the myspace page. Professionals use the site...they don't frame link to myspace. Looks like this one just got the domain but not the server space and has no host just yet, hence the "content" being myspace at all.

No way is this in game related. Looks more like a fansite space to have a spot for his/her own blog on the subject and haven't gotten it set up yet.
