Hi, I just found this place by googling so forgive me if I'm butting in. I opened my ISIS some time ago but just left it open as I couldn't figure out how to reset it to the beginning. Can anyone tell me how to close it so that it goes back to how it was originally?
Thanks

I think if you go to www.sonicwarp.com type in your key number from inside your isis instructions for putting back together are discussed Smile

ARGH!!!

I've got it so the placentas are 1cm apart after rotating them anticlockwise when the plunger is facing downwards. but im stuck from here, i've tried going back clockwise but it it wont budge after it realigns with the other placenta. Aso should the plunger at any point get stuck half way or does it always come back up to its original position? also how much should it "depress" ?

how to reset?

i got my isis open and wanted to reset it so i put the third ball bearing back on the magnet and then screwed the top back on.

The problem is now i cant hear the first 2 ball bearings but i can still open the isis if i follow the clues starting at clue 11.

Can someone please tell me how they reset their isis puzzles? so you can hear the first two ball bearings again.

Damned
ouch

Hi,

This isis makes me crazy. I've understood all the clues, try everything but I'm stick like a lot of poeple to the same point: my placentas are 1 cm apart. Iwanted to be sure if we are at this point the 3rd ball has been released or not, or is it possible to be at this point with only 2 balls?
My other problem is with clue 1: Does it mean the plunger has to be on top or has the plunger itself to be turned in a special position by pushing it down.
I've read everything here, use the theory of the universe in all direction... but nothing to do.

Coudl someone give me an answer, especially about the release or not of my 3rd ball

Thanks a lot Laughing

M

Uh?
What happened here?

Is my Isis faulty or what? No key inside and WTF happened to the ball bearing? it has magnetised bits of metal stuck to it!

To open it I just did the dominant theory about the creation of the universe bit (several times), and the top just twisted off without touching the plunger, and this is what I find inside. I've sent these pictures to Sonicwarp, I want a refund from Amazon.

EDIT

I removed a photo of the open Isis as this might spoil the fun for everyone else (it was here for a few minutes so I hope no one saw it), but basically I showed the absence of the key. My intention was to know whether or not the inside should look like that so please accept my apologies if your saw the image.

Looks a bit like the UFO i saw the other night Smile

Still waiting to get my ball from Sonicwarp, been a week now.
Still only take 5-8 seconds to open it once its back and this time ill take the key out DOH!!

Good luck all

btw be carefull about posting too much info on how to complete it (especially inside photos Wink ) as it does spoil the fun of solving it.

I'm still waiting for Sonicwarp to email me back regarding my faulty Isis.

I have discovered something else that's wrong with it. The main internal mechanism is blocked by what I assume must be more magnetic debris, this makes it impossible for the
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
third ball
to travel through the

maze
. It was sheer blind luck that I managed to open the Isis in the first place as the metal debris got caught in the plunger.

Had this not happened I would never have known my Isis was faulty and could have been attempting to open it for all eternity (and not get my refund).

3.ball problem

Hi

Can anyone give me a pm about how to release that 3. ball, i tried over the last couple of weeks to release it by applying the 11th clue teory.

Getting really frustrated about it, i dont want a complete solution to open it, just need some help with that 3. ball. I've read through this whole thread about it, but nothing seems to help on my Isis.

having great trouble decrypting the clues
having great trouble decrypting the clues

I'm sitting here in Denmark with this ball, and I'm really trying to work out the encrypted clues, but I can't seem to figure it out..

Ixion wrote in the beginning that:

Quote:
They're all simple substitution ciphers - guess a short word with a pretty easy to indentify pattern of letters which is likely to appear in the clues and start with the clues which mention it

And one guy posted the first clue translated, but I don't get it..

Do you need to crack each clue by switching letters or can you use the first translated clue to translate the rest?

PLEASE HELP ANYONE!..

I think it might be that english isn't my 1. language, so therefore I'm having difficulty figuring it out..

cornettracing80

hey cornettracing80 do you just call me a Ahole?. in regards to the sueing comment your isis may be different but mine had a really strong magnet. and so did alot of peoples that i have helped.
i really thought that a puzzle was something that could be solved by using logic. i love the isis but to have to use brute force for the 3rd ball is a joke not a puzzle. of course it,s near impossible to solve because noone expects to have to use so much force on something that expensive. think of all the people who can never solve it because of it,s bad design.

TIP OF THE DAY: once open put a small sticker over the 3rd ball hole so it will never get back to the magnet.

SONICWARP HELP

JUST THOUGHT OF SOMETHING AFTER SEEING THE MESSAGE ABOUT SONIC WARP FIXING THEM AT A LOSS.

HA HA HA. the fact that you can turn isis 1cm apart and what it does when you do that just means that they are opening it the second way. takes 1min to do. not quite a loss i think.

just like when ipods freeze. i picture a guy at a desk whacking your ipod on it,s right side then reboxing it and chargeing you for fixing it.

so yes if you knew how to open it then they could tell you the second way over the phone instead of charging you for it open it second way first then get the 3rd ball out and use a sticker where it matters then you can open it the real way as many times as you want.
