...unless they're sub-domains, which I believe were used in the Lost ARG, no?

Ok can someone figure out how to get the Slusho music into Ringtone form?!

Question: What leads have we had that have actually to this point gotten us anywhere?

I posted an .mp3 of the song earlier in this thread, if your phone can do that Razz

As far as I can tell, we're stretching what few clues we have right now as far as they can go, and so far getting nowhere.

Well, the whole thing prompted me to go to 7-11 on 7/11. I discovered that on 7/11 they give out free Slurpees and I got to try the Woo Hoo Blue Vanilla Simpson's movie tie-in flavor for free...

(you know, blue "slusho"... they are really tasty and I don't think I could have just drank just six! Alas, I had no money, so I only drank just one...)

I think that it's possible, especially since it's the /18/. If you follow the whole 1, 3, and 6 are important numbers, maybe it's only dates that these numbers can go into (with the exception of 7/3). 6 can be divided by all three, 12 can, but 15 can't. 18 can be, so maybe it's only numbers divisible by 6 (which automatically makes it divisible by 3 and 1). Also, 6 is just deemed significant by the 'can't drink just six'. It might be a number to look out for and try and find possible links to.

or perhaps we get 3-6-12-24 ? 1st pic on 3rd, 2nd on 6th, 3rd on 12th, 4th on 24th. We'll know by tomorrow I guess.

yeah that was the thought tinag had when we discussed it but I'm being optimistic that we'll see one tomorrow- if we have to wait until the 24th I might get sick of all of you Wink jk

I think there are keys missing.

Abrams said there are clues to be found, but he didn't say those clues were unlocked.

Also, by what I've seen of the 1-18-08 flash, and by what I've heard from the Lost ARG, it is conceivable that pages get updated and changed during the game. Heck the Slusho and 1-18-08 Flash elements have changed twice since they've been discovered (those changes were arguable bug fixes and did not impact actual content), and I've already seen how the 1-18-08 Flash *must* be changed every time there's a new image.

I used a great site monitor in tle and it helped tremendously but I can't remember which I used- I got one running now on all known stuff and it must not detect flash changes because it didn't register the recent changes at all! Plus it only checks once a day- that doesn't cut it for ninja purposes- does anyone have a better site monitor?

The secret ingredient?
I wanna know what it is!

For some reason it just seems to me that the secret ingredient harvested from the ocean floor is important.

So I started doing some research, and found that there are deposits of methane clathrate at the bottom of the ocean. It is more or less crystalized methane. Now saying that methane is the secret ingredient in Slusho seems absurd. But there is bacteria that grow on these methane deposits apparently, and scientists have discovered worms that most likely feed on this bacteria. Maybe the bacteria and/or worms have something to do with it all.

I also did a little bit of looking into the deepest area of the ocean, the Mariana trench. They have found some bacteria and small creatures down there. I thought there might be something to this, but now I think this is unlikely.

So, my new theory: Slusho is harvesting whatever it is from methane clathrate deposits off the coast of New York, something goes terribly wrong (how else does a sci fi/horror movie start?) and the methane deposits ignite somehow, causing that huge explosion we see. I'm no chemistry buff so I really don't know how plausible that is. Maybe this awakens something that was dormant in the "methane ice."

What do you guys think?

I couldn't agree more- there might be something we either have to do or find before they unlock or there might be some arbitrary factor like it unlocks at a certain time or date... I don't think we're going to get "in" until something shakes loose.

you know there were objects on slusho that used to change your cursor into hands- like they might potentially be buttons one day- but these aren't all there anymore... like on the down loads page- the kites used to morph the cursor but they no longer do (nor do they bring up the thought bubbles)... can anyone pinpoint when this changed? Maybe the same time the birds and balloon showed up? Darn site monitor is worthless I tell you!

You know, it's ironic. Here I am writing posts and blog entries about how we don't have a key to this game, and at the exact time that I'm writing that entry, Triton Enterprises gives us the next key to the Ethan Haas mystery.

Two ARGs at the same time... I'm going to lose my mind on this, I tell you.
