Interesting to note: I have actually read the back covers of RPG manuals that are almost word for word to what is on the MSL website. Granted, they are usually for smaller or self published games, but there are some out there. That being said, if EHWR is something that they produced, this is a LOT of money to throw around for a small/self published game.

Oh well.

Took about 30 minutes to get the autoreply...but it was the middle of the night. Not sure what to make of it.

I have received 21 emails from MSL in the past day. All of them were in response to my second opt in for the newsletter. All of them have the same text.

Something is wonky here. I am thinking, more and more, that the AO angle is just wrong. I am not sure it has anything to do with EHWR. Either MSL is part of the game, or it has nothing to do with the game.

There is just too much of a Slapped together feel to their website and response system. It just does not fit with other things we have seen.

Actually, it fits perfectly with the other things we've seen, in the auto-response realm of EHWR. It's all been wonky and slightly slapdash. Also including the screw-up with the street address they originally put in the domain record, then switching it, then suddenly switching it again. Like they haven't actually thought the thing through.

The only part of it that's been elegant has been the EHWR website itself.

Ok, have to agree with you on the other auto responders. And I guess I kind of got spoiled by the EHWR site. 21 responses was the maximum that I received. If this is part of the game (which I still think possible) does the number 21 have meaning Smile

There's hidden text on there but the pdf won't let me copy it, saying I need a password to do so.

Can anyone get to it?

I saved a copy to my hard drive-
when I right click, allow hand to select text and select that area I get:

Quote:
I have discovered several pages from Haas' journal. I have to be careful how I distribute these pages, there are forces here o...

and that's it- it cuts off from there I can't get it to show I can only see this much when I hoover my cursor over the highlighted text and right click and its in the little right click menu. damn that's frustrating- I'll keep working onit until I can get the rest... I don't have full adobe on this puter- only reader.

I decrypted the pdf. Full message:

I've discovered several pages from Haas' journal. I have to be careful how I distribute these pages, there are forces here on earth and beyond that would destroy them if they could. I will reach out to all of you with clues on how to find them; we will all have a role to play…

Oh, look. There's Van talking about "role playing" again!

so I've been looking for clues to the Divinus resort and haven't found anything concrete- nothing in Stevenson Washington yet either but I'm attempting to run down those leads. Yeah- maybe this will move to ptential ARGs now?

I'm perplexed as to why they chose Stevenson, and have been trying to figure if it's some sort of clue. Their PO Box in Stevenson doesn't exist, that much I know for certain.

But here it is popping up again- there's gotta be something to it otherwise why bring it up? Now what there is to it I haven't the foggiest...

All I can find is a restaurant called Divinus, in a convent-gone hotel in Portugal. It's highly real and referenced in a bunch of vacation guides. Razz

So not related. Hah

I seem to have missed yesterday's blog post from the Mezin. Who are, of course, based in Latvia -- where Triton was founded.
