I'm not a fan of complex numerology. Anything can be made to equal anything else if you try hard enough. It's very easy to go from obvious to ludicrous.

That's why I'm fixed on "163", because it appears twice, reasonably obviously, without manipulation or complex mathematics. None of that "divisible by x" crap or anything.

I like to think that things have a logical flow in these matters. Dividing up two numbers and coming up with a third just because I feel like it is not the way to go.

Of course, maybe I'm wrong in this; this is my first ARG experience after all. You veterans out there: has semi-complex, convoluted mathematics been involved in the past?

The closest thing I've seen are the "Lost numbers", but in the places I've seen them used they've been used as-is. Again, maybe I'm wrong.


No one is disputing that these particular numbers are prominent it is the leap to bible passages for no reason other than the bible has chapter and verse numbers and so lends itself easily to this kind of leap that I am nit picking. You can do your fuzzy math anyway you like- but I'm not buying any bible connection- there is nothing but some coincidences that have led people there.

folks in NYC use telescopes to watch their neighbors, not the stars... its been the plot of many a movie (comedy, suspense, etc) and its probably not unique to NYC


While this is true (Rear Window), they don't usually do it from the roof with the thing pointed straight at the sky, and they don't need one that big- (unless they want to see their neighbors' blackheads or something)... It's easily a 10" or 12" 'scope!
Well Rob seems to be the type who DESPERATELY needs to feel "classy" and a giant telescope on the roof seems to match his tacky tastes.

But, some people have an interest in things like Avian life, maybee there is a spot nearby where a group of rare birds live most of the year and Rob likes them enough to buy a telescope to see them. Many people turn up their telescopes when not in use, it beats walking into a huge thick pole of metal.

"ok so i was looking at the party scene and i think im onto something, i counted the eyes shown and the number of fingers on everyone in the scene...there's 16 eyes and 34 finers...16+34=50...thats 5:0..i then looked that up in the bible and came up with the line "and he rode away on a donkey" then it hit me OMG THEREZ A DONKEY ON THE SLUSHO SITE, connected?!!!"

Strongly agreed. Ever been on a roller coaster and it breaks down just after you go down the first big hill. That's where we are...stuck in a trough.

Not exactly what I was talking about, but here's an idea of what I'm relating to:

What I'm trying to say is that all these mathematical conjectures are based on knowing what the result is already is. If you want the answer to be 6, it's easy to find a route - simple or absurd - to get there.

And people are assuming they know the answer already based on religious significance, and are conjuring up equations in order to justify it to themselves.

what if the numbers are a book code, page 163, every 6th word? if we knew which book? is there a special book referenced anywhere in the trailer or slusho that could be used?

Anyone have a current set of Manhattan phone books handy? There are some on top of the refrigerator in the trailer.

 		hey everyone i kinda skipped tread 20-220 =O but has anyone noticed on the slusho website the bottom where it says u cant just drink six to the left of the phrase there is 1 cup full and to the right are 3 full cups thusfar making 163 again =O jsut putin it out there
