There is no retraction form the SCI FI (link below) lead that was released, even to this date which I would have expected to occur.

On the question of Slusho

Just a thought here, but I do hope that Slusho is not going to be an advertizing breadcrumb trail that leads to 7UP the lime and lemon drink. Carbonated by dry ice (the need for ice blue mittens) but also that would be very cheesy...

Forgive the mind rambling but in the scope of things as plausible as any other daft thought so far.

If you can't drink 6, then you have to drink 7? Right?

Base 7 numerical system.

In base 10, 163 = 163

In base 7, 163 = 322

322 = Skull & Bones Society.

Since no one else seems interested in following this lead, I've taken a few moments myself to check it out.

At approx. 63 degrees south x 63 degrees west, you find a little island known as Smith Island. It is the westernmost island in the South Shetland Islands chain.

These are basically barrier islands for antartica.

And, in case some of you missed the reference, a Shetland is a miniature horse.

Directly north of the island chain lies the South Shetland Trough, and undersea valley.

The islands are a hotbed of whaling activity.

Sorry Iamthequestion, I seriously dont remember as it was some time ago, its one of the sites I have in the bucket I created myself since the start of the Cloverfield posting on SCI FI. Annoyingly I too would like to kill any links between the Haas/RPG/Lost experience et-al and get into one serious line of investigation.

Been playing with the photos on 01-18-08 for some time now for example my last attempt being to set levels of transparancy to see if the layers revealed anything, strained my eyes zooming all available material, Traversed 100's of searches for donkey/whale/fish/frog/namesakes etc playing and replaying the audio to see if what sounds like a female voice at the start of the first roar during the party is just that (only to be confounded further by the noise which came through my window from some nearby roadworks which sounded very simialr unfortunately I could not ask them to rewind and play it back for comparison and I still have nothing that makes any progressive sense.

So far its a nightmare as soon as a single clear clue turns up that disassociates the real from the unreal for cloverfield the better. Until then I'm a bit reticent to write anything off until clearly proven disassociated.
