MY crazy idea

ok i know this is going out on a very thin and breaking limb here, but....what if this is neon genesis evangelion? rob is going to japan, this could be before second impact.. i know that second impact happened in antarctica but this area i am stretching a bit. second impact killed half of the worlds population. in eva the flash backs to si there are roars heard as adam explodes. ok now, the slusho site talks about the sun ganu which could be gendo shinji ikari's father who became obsessed with the human instrimentality project to make everyone into one giant conscienceness (shown in eva as everyone exploding into a golden fluid) to do this children are used to pilot giant biomechanical (mostly humanlike living things) robots with the souls of thier dead mother(!) inside, used to fight enemies called angles. shinji's robot is the key as he must murge with lillith to cause instrimentality.

but like i said. a BBBBIIIIIGGGGG streach

anyway. this new slusho icon which now specifys the AIM/AOL chat network is definitely a clue. I mean think about it, they change the icon to flash and grab your attention, they are analysing the site, they know how many times the same IPs keep comming back, they know what pages we are going to so they put a huge flashing light right there and the Aim name they set up has probley been running for a week or so now and not a single person has IMed it yet, which probably is the reason they decided to put the huge sign that says look here.

So Noriko Yoshida (if the name is written by Japaneese rules) would actually have the firstname Yoshida and the family name Noriko. Her son would be Noriko Ganu.

Sometimes for the sake of translation they'll change this (Like Naruto Uzimaki >.>). The father and Noriko both share the name Yoshida, so I'm going to continue to think that since she and her son bear the family name Yoshida. Yoshida in itself if also a popular family name for the Japanese. I've tried finding translations of the names. Ryou in Ryouta is 'dragon' if I remember correctly. As far as Noriko and Ganu go, I haven't gotten much japanese-wise. I can get these partial matches for Noriko:

norikoeru to climb over, to ride across, to surmount
norikomu to board, to embark on, to get into (a car)
norikonasu to manage (a horse)
norikoshi riding past (one's station)
norikoshiryoukin excess fare (for going too far)
norikosu to ride past, to pass, to outdistance

To manage a horse is in theory similar to handling a donkey. This might hold true to tying Noriko with the donkey with the glove, disappearing. It 'rides past' the edge of the screen and never returns. The horse is 'managed' in the same way Noriko was? (Grasping at straws XD) These different words kinda describe what happened to Noriko. She died at sea...from going too far? To far into some kind of beast's territory? Not sure.

Doing research on 'Ganu' I found somewhere that in some languages it can mean 'egg-white' and 'male' (two different sources). There is also some kind of festival with 'Ganu' in the name. It's some kind of singing festival, I forget. Anyways, it didn't seem too important. All these translations are not japanese.

As far as translations for other words go, I get this online:

Montage of Visual Facts

I've cobbled together some of the visual facts which I hope will help us.

Is this a team talk taking place during the trailer and is that JJ Abrams in the hat, as he is commanding whenever seen in shot a lot of second glances and attention from others when you spot him in the trailer video.

Who is the person refered to as Monster Girl or Evil Face? I hope she will forgive us all. She seems to be on the arm of the man in the hat most of the time, but as you can see she is wearing a green dress not a orange tee short with the number nine on it. This shot was taken as she was heading for the door and looking over her shoulder.
Also the 'Ringman' appears a number of times but only when he leaves the building do you see the rings on his back might be he leant on some painting or something, there is what looks like a picture of O's/CD's on the wall in at the start of the trailer perhaps this was still wet paint who knows.

The Number nine on Evil persons tee shirt, I've taken a section of the wall and blacked out an area similar to the section thought of as the number nine, add some brightness/contrast to match the photo image and its orange and soon you could easily depict a number nine.

As a result of investigations so far apart from the mysterious O's on the guys shirt (which may be explainable) there seems to be nothing very mysterious at all.

cartman's stuck in anime fantasyland. You can Google or wiki Neon Genesis Evangelion if you want, ot take those 5 minutes and instead devote them to something more relevant to slusho or 1-18-08 or the trailer, our only 3 real clues.

Besides, it's clearly Hedorah attacking New York City. This time the alien dust landed on the east river and it fed off of the pollution there, forming Hedora again; and since Godzilla is dead, Hedorah now has free reign to rampage and sludge up the place. Don't take this seriously, unless it actually happens to be the plot, in which case give me credit.
