Girl at party

Also the 2 girls are probably the same as in the 1st pic where you see 2 half faces.

Nope. The two girls in Pic one are the two girls who were very close to Rob at the end of the trailer. These two girls are different. I'm not even sure they were at the party.

One of the girls was definitely at the party. If you stop the trailer at 00:37, you will see the blue earring and heart shaped necklace. This girl is standing by Rob at the end of the trailer (1:29 in the video).
I'm off to look for the other now, although I believe she will show up later in the film because of her emotional state (runny make-up from crying).

OKay wait a second...

on teh home page

when the fish pops up his thought is "fresh for you!" he is on the right side of the page,
when the donkey pops up he is on the left sode, he thinks "Slusho! Zoom!"

on the history page, the donkey is slower than the fish, so he ends up to the left of the fish (on the fish's first pass), and thinks of the mitt, the fish is to the right, and thinks of the chees

but the girl thinks of fresh, and the boy thinks of zoom, which is a mirror image or oppsite of the home page, now we have zoom left, and fresh, right.

they switch places.
the donkey and fish switch places on the screen because the fish ends up behind the donkey for a moment before the donkey goes off screen.
the boy and girl never switch places on any page.

this has got to be something.

Wrong thread. *points to slusho zoom thread*

Whoa, hey.

Is that clear separation between the women on the right and the men on the left a normal circumstance of that kind of color correction. 'Cause it sure as heck looks like we're looking at two different photographs here put together into one.

It's the same photograph taken from the site, in 4 separate layers. The first layer is the background sharpened so you can be sure there is *nothing* hidden in the back (like a demon or reptile or hulk hogan), the second layer is the man with the camera-shaped thing at 100% enhanced contrast and blurred a little to soften the colors, the third layer is the man on the far left, with his levels bumped up especially in the blues and yellows so that you can see more of his skin tone, and the ladies are the last layer with their levels also bumped up as well as brightness heightened and contrast softened.

Just a note on the guy holding the 'item' : He is definitely not using one of the rocket launchers unless a really hilarious and self-toasting scene is about to happen.

... couldn't he just be holding it on his shoulder, with his back to the camera?

Something to pass the time

Well while we're waiting around, I thought I'd raise this one up again for feedback - which I already figure will go this way:

1/3 of you will go: OMG YES! I see those, that's whacked, there could be a lead here.

1/3 of you will go: Pffft, it's tiedye, part of the fabric.

1/3 of you will scroll down.

But STILL....while I can see the symbols move with the folds of the fabric, it still strikes me as off the wall. It's a men's dress shirt, it's a button up with stripe print in the fabric....which just doesn't go well, blend well, work well, with big white Os in two locations on either side.

Initially I never noticed the guy in the first part of the trailer, so was only looking at it at the end when they're running out, but I went back through it and yeah they show up on all shots of this guy but are mostly visible when they are running out.

They just do not go with this style of shirt, which leads me to feel they've been added to it. I've never seen this sort of fabric print. I can't even visualize the conversation in the artfunk factory of someone going "hey I know, let's f*ck up this nice print with arbitrary white donut circles" and "ooooh how avante garde, yes let's!"

It also doesn't look like any tiedye I've ever seen.

So to me, these white circles were added to the shirt:

1. by whoever made the fabric/shirt for who knows why and then where is the shop that sells them? Seriously. I want to see more like this just to wrap my head around why the hell anyone would do that

2. by someone affiliated with the movie for wardrobe, either by painting it on or even CG fx.

It stands out too much. It's nothing we have to scrutinize closely....it's in plain sight same as the slusho thing, and it does not belong there. This guy is also featured in the 2nd pic on the 1-18 site and like the other 4 seem to have more prominant roles in this movie.

Just as a potential trail, and you know they saw this putting the film together for the trailer regardless and opted to leave it in there, IF there is more relevance to it it would seem that they've drawn attention to the shirts for whatever reason. Again, most of all of these people are dressed up nice. Even the guys with tshirts have dress shirts over them, and if it was that casual, why bother? It's 63 degrees out, surely they all weren't chilly? I mean, I wouldn't have a question if it was a tshirt with symbols on it, or worse, one of those hideously stupid cowboy dress shirts that should be outlawed by anyone considering himself a real man, but this is a dress shirt with verticle stripe print. The circles are added afterward.

Is this a nod to some other work of Abrams maybe? Why would the white circles that look spray painted on after the fact (ie not done when the fabric is printed or the shirt was made), be shown so prominantly?

If it turns out to be nothing, so be it...but for now, it's just striking me as really warped for a shirt. I think most all of us sailed clean over the big slusho logo on the one shirt as either irrelevant or incidental...at least exploring the possibilities of this avenue we're covering bases here!

Pics below. Might need to click on some for the larger view.

I really have to say, after watching the trailer again and looking for this guy, the way he moves is like he's trying to show you the stuff on his back. He and the "Switzerland" girl shuffle their feet trying to keep their backs to the camera. I think you're on to something here.

have you ever seen a light from a video camera, when it shines it shine in a circle like a donut, i'm sure it has no significance, stop searching for things not there and just be patient

Riiiiiiight. So it probably is nothing special. Thanks for your quick reply.

Hey, I'll let you go through the trailer frame-by-frame and look for whatever since you've done it a million times and know where everything is, alright?

Right, but that is by no means a light from a video camera, else it would have reflected on other things the same way. It's not. It's JUST that guy and that guy is clearly in view and so is his peculiar shirt with incongruent elements. THIS is entirely more valid a speculation than about 80"% of the BS people are coming up with, and it's at least focused on something CLEARLY THERE.

Two white circles on the shoulders in the front.
Two on the back, and then two diagonally down closer to the sides on the back. If they were on a solid fabric I wouldn't think anything odd about it. It's on a dress shirt, that already has its own pattern, and the circles don't go there.

They were added to the striped fabric. My curiosity is were they added at the shirt making factory and just sold one to that guy since nobody makes clothes like that? (Can you find another shirt LIKE that? )

Or was it added as part of the FX in this movie. If so, what is the relevance of it?

Now obviously we can wait til 1-18 and look for said guy and if the circles are there, so be it...and if they never appear to have relevance, so be it. I am asking because it's out of synch here. It's too obvious that it doesn't go on the shirt. Period. It IS THERE.

Why?

just pointing out that it's probably just set decoration. A bottle, sitting behind a thyme plant in a bowl. Nothing more, nothing less.

Dont have to get so cranky.
