I tried 11808 as a password, no dice.

Also found this: (click for wide URL to google map result)

Possibly related. I can't find a Palace Plaza in Japan, but there is an Imperial Palace Plaza. OH!!GOD follows our exclamation mark patterns.

As for the email, good to know. In the interests of completeness, I tried emailing the only other name in the trailer, Jason. For those of you who don't know, there is some speculation that http://www.whereisjason.com is connected as well, and I have not seen this debunked yet.

I got the same failure notice:

Since 1-18-08.com is from paramount and whereisjason.com isn't, can it be ruled out?

so the ftp is INGAME then?

I'd highly doubt it and suggest not doing it.

The slusho.jp site is hosted on a shared box, hence a shared ftp server, hence if you do something like hacking in, it's not considered a Good Thing (tm) and it usually has Bad Consequences (tm)

if we arent meant to get access to that box, then why can we access the FTP in teh first place, we get promted for a password this can be blocked

as is the case when you try ftp://www.1-18-08.com

this screams to me that we are supposed to get in.

however if you are worried about such things, simply send an email stating that you are attempting to gain access as part of the game. the clues point to getting ftp access to find the next clue. if we are wrong, and I doubt it ,then JJ will realize he needs to leave b etter clues they are on top of everythign else, why would they let somethign liek this slip by? they delete all BS added to the IMDB page within hours of it being posted, why not cut off FTP access, the way it is on the other only in game page we know about?

we are supposed to get in. perhaps IMing one of the names generated with all those anagrams will get us a password. but i have to go to work now. so my leet freind i leave you in charge, take care of my troops. give them plenty of earth and water, and dont kick them down any wells.

in that same theory tho...

webmail.slusho.jp also works/ needs user/pass

seems really strange the only thing i can assume is u get the email user/pass .. and then get some file off the ftp or the user/pass from the ftp to get a email with the next url on it....

only way it sorta works..but f435ked if i know what the user pass is..for either .

well actually considering its a @slusho.jp address only thing screams out is satoshi....password? who knows
