try "trillian" its a free universal chat client works with all the im services. there is a pro version you can pay for, but you dont need to go there unless you really want too.

less bloat than aim.
Wouldnt MSN messenger work?

 		Need Audio Help
So I've been pondering the oft-repeated comment that the creature's roars are the primary clue. I've been tweaking the roars (there are four) all sorts of ways without finding anything.

However, I did come up with an interesting idea. The first roar is the cleanest, with the least amount of background. I sped that roar up and noticed that it sounds an awful lot like a whale call. But the attack on the sound is wrong. In fact, it's the kind of attack you'd get with a synth sine wave. In other words, it's a digital sound.

Unfortunately, that's as far as I could get on my own. But, I think I have an idea where to go from here: there's a way to get a spectrogram on a sound. Some artists, most notably Aphex Twin have used this to hide images and words in sounds.

I don't have the ability to do a spectrogram on the roars. Is there anyone who can? It could be nothing, but I think this is worth checking out. I can't really see any other way the creature's roar would be 'relevant' unless they mean it spawns stupid pointless speculation about what the monster(s) could be.

okay, this whole graffiti on the apartment wall thing is really starting to bother me. I just don't understand why it is there! That is why I have become so obsessed with it, lol.

in the trailer at 00:38, you will see what I believe says "RIFT" in graffiti. I decided to look into deep sea critters that may somehow be related to this word. This is what I found: "The Giant Tube Worm" The scientific name is, Riftia Pachyptila and they are also known as "black smokers".

 		Yea I've been looking into the graffiti too, the top left graffiti says 1 of the following: BIFT, BIFS, RIFT, RIFS.

And directly under it, in smaller font it says: RIFT, with an 8 infront of it. Atleast it looks like an 8. So if the bottom one is RIFT, then the top 1 could be RIFT too, and if it appears 2 time... maybe something to look into. I've tried to find info... but can't.

Also, on the Roof the 1 Graffiti says CRN, or something like that. If it is CRN, I found that its an old english language, with some of its own letters etc. Maybe needed ?

Already playing with it and this is what I got from the first roar. It may be just wishful thinking on my part, but are those letters and/or numbers?

I'll keep playing. Maybe someone here is better at this than I am and can do a more thorough job?

The other thing that stands out about Roar One is that it's different than all the others. It's longer. It sounds different. It's accompanied by tremors.

Interesting, Robotkarateman! I do believe I see letters in there. I would like to see the rest. Unfortunately, I don't know how to do all that fancy stuff.

no, MSN is a different IM service. this page specifies AIM Icon as in the AOL network, a product of Time Warner, the company that owns the news channel shown in the trailer.
