Not to point the obvious but....

I noticed someone kind of came to the same conclusion I did about the letters and numbers in the sound analysis. Anyone think it might be relevent that it looks like BZ32, which just happens to be the middle part of the license plate of the car that's in the trailer? Also suspicious would be the fact that z and 2 look very similar to each other as does B and 3 which would correspond with the whole "BZBZ" thing.

Bah, sorry, missed the page where this was already pointed out. Just skip this post. Apologies.

I was waiting for someone to post a .wav of the roar. Thank you. It's in stereo. Did you try analyzing each channel separately?

Buru?

Alright, I was skimming the IMDb board, and came across a theory. They think that the air bubbles and blinks that the donkey makes form morse code. I thought they were high, until I continued reading, and someone had translated it to:

Quote:
NAMETIDEMANSTERBURU

or my interpretation

Name: Tide Monster Buru

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buru_(cryptozoology) <-- Apparently you have to copy/paste that because the boards don't like parentheses in a URL.

But I do believe the "Related Link" at the bottom is more helpful:

Quote:
It prefers an aquatic habitat. Thus, it can also be classified as a lake monster, if you want to get picky.

Eh? Smile

Interesting theory; have to check out the slusho! blog to see if they've been working on other coded messages in the bubbles and blinks. May not be morse code, but something else significant.

Ok, so in the image the ones in sharp look like bz39 to me, but there looks like there is a stray 3 to the left. I typed bz393 in google. The third site down was this. http://www.ccgf.tv/ccgf2005/wendang/shbanjiang.doc It's a word file in chinese, when I took it through babel fish I got this.

The Chinese numerical code art specialized committee prize promulgation ceremony is accepted the work name list Art class □static frame □institute group (AX) art class □static frame □functional group (AZ) AX366 rabbit's TAIL az359 artistic museum AX460 az360 "Code number □Nine Will be early morning red" AX467 afternoon az365 to regain consciousness AX487 Utopia az367 dusk to summon AX488 a709 number ROUTE az368 battle song AX489 yesterday DAY AFTER TOMORROW az369 light of AX490 daybreak to vanish MOUNTAIN VILLAGE az370 to dissipate on AX491 Time01 AZ371 and under AX495 Brother sentiment DEEP az372 light AX503 Time02 AZ373 great hall AX504 time03 AZ378 zheng AX506 warm LIGHT az421 UNDER the poor street AX559 building of residence az485 dives line of AX569 puppet LIFE az486 saint territory AX573 small MONSTER az507 to have the scenery room AX662 a man, A life AZ508 twilight AX669 static az515 boundary AX671 vertically and horizontally GREAT-HEARTED az521 bmw X5 AZ549 green az564 recollection QUOIN az583 strength az618 UNDER the mimosa pudica az619 sunlight az626 angel az665 thirsty az666 faith az668 returns the az670 weekend TO FIGHT az674 the snow VALLEY az677 heart feeling

Obviously someone can personally translate this better, but it seems rather ominous that it mentions regain consciousness, small monster, thirsty.

Can anyone versed in Morse Code confirm this? Might be something intreresting if it turns out to really be this...
