The word from AINC, who are right more often than wrong, is that this is an original property.

So no Godzilla.

If anyone has ever seen the first remake of Godzilla (don't quote me on that) the roaring in the trailer sounds to me like the giant lizard himself. That distinct harsh scream is on a toy I have packed away and the yell is uncanny.

People will make fun of you for saying that because they don't fucking realize that the rights to Godzilla could have been moved or plans involving Godzilla could have changed.

No.. people will make fun of you because it's NOT GODZILLA. It's like hitting a damn brick wall hearing that crap over and over again.

Whatd I just say? Explain to me why the damned plans for the Godzilla character couldn't have possibly changed, without saying that you read it on the internet.

And you explain to me why a reputable website would flat out lie about a movie when their main goal is to report the truth so they can be the 'first' ones to do so?

Stop beating the damned dead horse and MOVE ON.

Edit: And while you're at it, explain to me how it would be a smart marketing idea to make another Godzilla movie when the last one wasn't that long ago, and was TERRIBLE to boot? And then tell me what movie studio would buy that idea knowing its' history? And THEN tell me why a creative mind like JJ Abrams would take on such a shit project that would most likely crap all over his reputation when he could easily come up with something new?

This thread is such an annoyance. There is obviously more, as Abrams himself has said, so we're not looking hard enough.

Giving up, or attempting to look like we're giving up just so Abrams will give us another clue, is counter productive. I'm going to bed, but rest assured that I'll be looking into this each night for at least ten minutes.

ok prolly not much some observations...
looking round the net... ganu appears to be another name for crab (some dialect in southern ryukyu) anyway so it ads some interesting things

the crab holding the stick in the history page could be considered ganu..and leads the way to the ingrediant

the blue fish is looking for the ingrediant(cheese ( could this be some kind of bacteria or fungus?) and keeps going back for some more (satoshi) drink company ( or could be digging in the crust like bore holes )

the donkey thing finds the ingredient but cant handle it properly and is never seen again

i dunno but the more u look at the page more u think its a illustration of the story / company...

missing something eh...lol

This is just a theory, but I'm thinking the ARG hasn't even began yet.

Supposedly, (as in not an official source) it's rumored that the title will be announced at Comic-con. Along with it, a new site, and the ARG will begin.

4th Pic

Shows that this is not a cluefest, and I am starting to believe that theres no game either.

Quite possibly they picked that picture to show us that theres nothing to search for - hence the last two photos being completely unclear and (to use improperly) 'clue-less'

Or there IS a game and nobody's seeing because of "banter overload". My "bright orange jumpsuit" scenario is feeling more and more like the case, and that bothers me.

By my observations, the pictures have come out in a pretty good patter thus far

Yeah, please re-read my post. I did say that the only way the pictures could become meaningful is if someone found meaning in a pattern in the time stamps or posting dates.

All you've done is point out the pattern. That doesn't mean anything.

Ok. So freaking what? Let's say you're right. Let's say it's a Godzilla movie. And you know what, let's go a step further and say it's Godzilla, Rodan, and some new big freaking ox monster we've never seen before, just to fit the Three Monsters(tm) criteria.

SO F@#%ING WHAT? What does it have to do with an ARG? NOTHING.

This is an ARG board. We are supposed to be here discussing an ARG, not guessing what Abrams next film is about.

I don't see an ARG here. Sorry. And I also don't give a flip what the monster is.

That's the sort of thing that would probably only appeal to a company looking to make a lot of money on the backs of a market that includes a large and pre-existing fanbase that is only being served at the moment by DVD rereleases (see last year's Gojira multidisc release or the very recent rerelease of Godzilla Raids Again, the first sequel).

His next project is Star Trek, y'know. A long running franchise whose most recent theatrical endeavor was a flop. Tickets to Godzilla didn't sell as well as hotcakes are known to, but it more than made its money back domestically, a feat 'ST: Nemesis' barely achieved internationally.

I'm not saying this is Godzilla, just that you're wrong. Very Happy

Did it? Are we sure that it wasn't on the 2nd in the evening and discovered the morning of the 3rd? I'm going to hunt for posts.

Transformers didn't come out till the third, so nobody would have known to pull up the site on the second.

So if posting dates really do matter, it'd be safe to assume the soonest we were supposed to discover the site was the third, any time before that and it'd be a random and very lucky typo.
