If a 600' creature was chasing behind me, I'd be running full bore, running over people, running over cars, etc... Everyone's jogging; it looks like the New York Marathon.

Maybe its a big slow monster, that would explain why they're running so slow. Sure its scary but just scary enough to walk at a brisk pace in the opposite direction.

Re: ARG or not?
Some thoughts...

First of all, the fact that I'm new to unfiction is irrelevant to my ARG experience. Second, the reason I wrote that was because someone spends time presenting some point. But when he posts it, someone else comes along and quotes a single sentence and asks a question that's completely irrelevant to the point presented, causing the original point to be ignored. It breaks the flow of conversation, and is also rude and annoying.

Fair points. I'd agree with your second point if your post had been made in one of the more subject specific threads, but not in the nearly three hundred page monster. This is the "throw it out and see what sticks" thread...that's its function. The fact that I quoted your sentence was a sign of acknowledgement. I attributed what you wrote as the trigger for my question. Should I have asked the question without attribution? Would that have made it any less annoying or rude? If the post immediately following yours was breaking news that a third, in-game website had been found, would you hold them as being rude and annoying, breaking the flow of conversation? There is no flow of conversation to break because a message board, and this thread specifically, is not a conversation. We'd all like for our posts to be answered thoughtfully, but that isn't the nature of message boards. Sometimes ones' thoughts are considered, sometimes commented upon, sometimes they're ignored. It's the nature of this beast. There is a chat room, and more than once I've been admonished to "take it to Chat" because that is where the conversations happen here. I can see that you're annoyed, but what I did was in no way rude.

As to your first point, I agree and apologize. Equating a "joined date" on an internet board to actual experience was silly...and rude.

If it's already been posted, sorry. I was surfing the web, all random like, and came across this late last night.

http://wewerethecoolkids.blogspot.com/2007/07/exclusive-interview-with-cloverfield_20.html

I don't know if it's legit or anything, but I've seen this guy interview people in the past.

Most important is the mention of the Jensen Family. In the teaser, toward the end when Rob says "Did anybody see ______" Some say its Geniuses... Does he really say "did anybody see Jensen?" Sounds like it to me.

I tried searching for this family. I have found several actors, actresses, writers, and artists. It's a fairly common name so I don't know whom is related to whom.

Forget about it. I'm sorry for snapping at you. That's what JJ wants! He wants us to fight! Mad

.... There are no words.
That was the most ridiculous interview i've ever read. And i'm not crapping on you for bringing it here... but... If that's real... then i've lost hope for this movie in general. I can't see someone being so incredibly unprofessional in an interview- even if it was to try and throw someone off, or jokingly.. or whatever.
Just..... no.

And in the trailer, we're all pretty sure he says "Jason"

This could be one of 3 things:

1. Totally fake.

2. All of it is a clue (like the TLE thing at comicon with the actress in character).

3. Just a weird person.

I don't know... I see the guy who writes that blog on #slusho sometimes. If I see him there I'll ask him.

Yeah that's pretty much how I felt about it last night. I just figured I'd post it anyhow just to see if anyone knew.

I think that interview was meant as a joke or parody, because it doesn't make much sense. A director would never say that in an interview, and a busy director would never take time off to be interviewed by a blogspot blog. Maybe a mainstream media network, but not a blog.

Not really, kinda hard to believe that they're real. I guess he'll just take the compliment that he's a good writer Smile

I'd be more concerned over today's blog post:
http://wewerethecoolkids.blogspot.com/
http://cloverfieldclues.blogspot.com/2007/07/behind-scenes-on-slusho-set.html

Especially the video.
