StatueofLiberty.com is owned by "Reflex Publishing Inc.", a domain parker. They resell domains. It's highly unlikely they're in game.

I'm going to say this, even though it's been said twice before.

statueofliberty.com is a parked domain, an expired domain, or something similar. It is not a real website. It is not in-game.

Rhialto, as you can see, I am new to this forum and whole ARG thing. I really think your rudeness in very uncalled for. Excuse me if I don't have your ranking in posts (which most of them probably come from bashing others rather than saying anything important), but I am trying and that's all that matters. I figured maybe we could find some key words or phrases that may help us out. Unlike you, I do see some similarity in what I posted, as twisted as it may be.

I'm not saying I've discovered anything at all in regards to this ARG.

But if you think I'm not going to call the more random and nonsensical connections made on this forum for what they are, you're wrong. Otherwise we end up with pages and pages of random noise.

I mean, look at your theory, or whatever you want to call it. The characters are yelling "Jensen" which is clue by the filmmakers to find the website of an established sci-fi and video game writer who at one point (years ago) was working on a video game that has the same name as an unrelated Stephen King story which has a single plot element that is probably similar to one of the plot elements of this movie. That was their plan. For us to find that out.

I mean: what?

I thought this was the thread for that. What's wrong with throwing things out there to get some ideas flowing?

Well, the thing you threw out are pretty much totally unconnected to each other or this movie. How does that help? What "ideas" do we have "flowing" at this juncture? Essentially you've confused things by bringing in totally unrelated material. I know we have nothing to go on, but we need to accept that and just wait. And if you bring in stuff like what you did, I'm gonna say what it is.

For one thing, I didn't bring any of that in.

In the lowest left corner of the site, way down at the bottom, is a fine-print link to "List your site" -- and the search results pages all say "Sponsored Results:" at the top. Here's why:
http://www.statueofliberty.com/listyoursite.html

Just for fun, into the SOL.com search box I put "Voltron". Then I went to http://www.overture.com/ and put "Voltron" into their search box. The two results pages look eerily similar. Does that tell you that Overture is in-game, or that StatueofLiberty.com is out-of-game? Or that NEITHER site NOR Voltron has anything to do with Slusho?

Overture is a search engine and "pay for placement" advertising venue; they're owned by Yahoo and are one of the largest advertising content providers and search engines in the world.

So they are definitely "out of game"...

Out of curiosity, can somebody explain how 1-18-08 brings up all those Voltron results on statueofliberty.com, even though its been proven that the movie isnt voltron.

Their website says there is a store on 150 Broadway... other than that I can't find anything. However, this website works slowly for me, and I'm tired and impatient. So, there might be something there.
150 Broadway in NY? That location looks like it is to mimic the Sephora on 19 (or 20th) and 5th ave by my job.. the one on Broadway is in the middle of Spring and something, not a corner, and the opposite side of the street?

You haven't been around here long enough.

As soon as the trailer came out, the Voltron lobby was a powerful one. Everybody and their grandmother insisted that it was a Voltron movie. I don't know how that started, but pretty much every blog that you go to now (including my own, I admit) has the word "Voltron" appearing in it multiple times.

The Voltron lobby was strong because all the idiots with impacted auditory canals insisted that it was '...a lion..'

crazy thoughts

perhaps i'm going utterly nuts here, or perhaps someone else has already posted this.

the license plate:

clearly, from what i could look up on images of NY plates, this aint one of em. it's a seven character arrangement, ABZ-(can't remember the rest). which, if we go alpha-numeric, gives us 1226-****. or, if we take Z as a single character and combine it's digits, 128-****, a standard american 7-digit phone #, lacking an area code. plug in a NY area code, or a 1800, and we just might have something.

or i'm just crazy, either way.

couldn't be the latter, as #'s can't start with 0 or 1 (1 tells it there's an area code to follow).

I've been away for a few days. How long ago was the fourth picture put on the 1-18-08 site?
