FWIW and FYI, it's clear to me that they haven't pulled the trigger on the other two journal pages yet, and that there aren't codes out there to be found yet, because I know both new URLs, and currently they show the same journal page, rather than two different ones.

Not to quote myself, but this actually perplexes me. If they put one in place in advance, so it would be ready when the time came, why does the second only show the same thing as the first instead of showing the other remaining page, so it's ready when the time comes?

I find it quite odd.

Well, if I knew what these domains were to begin with, maybe I can formulate an answer! Wink

Well, in absense of that... The pages up to now have been physically named after the stars. Do both the pages you've discovered (a) have the same name, and (b) are exactly the same file (byte size)?

Have you tried the already disclosed star names to see if the other image file is there somewhere, and perhaps not linked to the default HTML file?

They are exactly the same. And I've tried the one remaining main Cassiopeia star (which should be "segin") as a jpg filename on both URLs, to no avail.

I'm sorry I've played many ARG and there are always people like BIX in there and the veterans of the ARG world call them Bullshit sellers. Why keep information from people? Thats going against van's instructions and thus you're not playing the game correctly Van stated to send new people to EHWR site to test them, and prove their ability.

It's always people like this that try and make the game less fun for people.

Less fun? By allowing you to solve things yourself? By giving hints and pointing the way? Not giving away things that aren't even ready/ingame yet? I guess being spoonfed everything is more enjoyable. I'm sorry but I am going to have to disagree with you. Van didn't say to give people all the answers and he didn't mention sending people to anywhere but EHWR.com. Like you said, people have to prove themselves. Personally I think Bix is doing right, I'm just jealous because I'm moving this week and don't have time to find the stuff myself.

There's a difference between gathering information on the game the normal way - through clues and investigation - and gathering information through arguably unorthodox methods.

These unorthodox clues are, arguably, spoilers, and knowing them could possibly deter from the game experience. Part of the enjoyment of this game is the act of finding out the clue through deduction and reasoning, not because a network admin or marketing representative was careless.

We believe we have discovered certain things that weren't meant to be discovered; we believe they were oversights on behalf of the "puppetmasters", in part due to the the fact that this is the first time they probably do this.

For example, we now know the URL of the Divinus resort. You didn't see Van or the Mezin say "hey! Here's the URL of the site!" and blurt it out. You rather they do that and leave us to not have to do anything? That's the difference between reading the story and participating in it.

And people will prove their ability if I just hand over information that hasn't been provided in-game yet? What ability of theirs would that prove, exactly? The ability to not do any work for themselves?

Here's a compromise. The URL below will give you the jpg of the Ruchbah journal page.

Thank you
journal page

Thank you for giving us access to the page. I'm still trying to figure out the URL, but it's fun to have a new page to look at. Smile

ETA:
This new page seems to have marks on it like writing as well. Confused

Has anyone checked to see if the images look stegged? I've run stegdetect on this last one and it shows positive to 1.34 but I'm of the understanding it's not a very dependable program. We can tell by looking at them they aren't camouflaged.

If you're going to quote me, then quote the entire thing not just what you want.

Seriously did I not say it clear enough for your mind to comprehend?

If they get past the 5 puzzles then they've proven their ability at logical comprehension. Plus it makes you look like a jackass to boast that you have two sites that are already out but not ready for us. Not to mention that this totally goes against pattern of progress that the creators of this ARG are using.

They will not make a site before they are ready for it to be seen and utilized, so I'm calling bullshit on your statement that you have two new URL's and simply tell you to put your money where your mouth is, and if so then I'll gladly eat crow. Rolling Eyes

They've made two sites before they are ready to be utilized -- I know this because they currently show the same journal page instead of two different ones.

I've posted the image of the one that's there.

Want more to hold onto so when the time comes you know I'm right?

The two URLs they've set up but haven't yet pulled the trigger on?

One begins with "u" and ends with "w". The other begins with "k" and ends with "8".

Honestly, it's not my fault that you haven't thought to do what I did to find these URLs before they were ready to be brought to our attention.

ok so I'm supposed to find these site using three letters an a digit? The odds of you actually finding them in a coordinated effort are slim to none, I think you found them by chance, even if these are the pages I still can't say that you're right because it was just a lucky hit.

Unless you'd like to explain your method of madness on how you found the sites so to speak. If you can prove it through my duplicated search then I will tell everyone the you are right, and that you told me so

It's also not my fault that you can't figure out how I found them. The point of me mentioning the first and last letters/numbers wasn't a clue for you to find them yourself -- it was a "for the record" statement so that when the sites officially come into the game, it's obvious that I did, in fact, know what I was talking about.

I've explained more than once already that the key to how I found them is in remembering that I'm playing two games at the same time: EHWR itself, and my own "who the Hell is behind EHWR?" research.

Honestly, it doesn't matter to me who believes I found these URLs and who doesn't. When the time comes for the puppetmasters to use them, it will be clear that I had found them early.

That might be annoying to some people, but as I've also said repeatedly, a lot of gameplayers don't consider the way I found these domains to be legitimately "in-game", and so out of respect for that I've refrained from just outright giving away the information before the puppetmasters make their move.

I didn't find them through luck. I found them because I thought of a way to find them. Either do the same or move on.

Considering I've been playing the same game(s) as you have, I'm sure if I try hard enough, I can find them as well.

But if you yourself say that we are not ready to see those pages, I trust that. Let them be revealed when they're ready to be revealed.

I do have to say, from a technical standpoint, I'm curious as to how you got those domains. If I were a network admin I might have a better idea, but I'm just a lowly programmer...

Your buddies at the other forum finally figured out the Divinus link, by the way. That forum's entertaining... like watching a train wreck...
