slusho site -cloverfield

try typing "slusho zoom" as an address, an interesting site comes up with several pictures which, when clicked on, link to interesting sites about ishiro honda, Godzilla's director, and gene therapy and weaponry...

IT'S OOG!

Why did you think you were the first person to discover that? Because you're this hypergenius who discovered Slusho and the whole game before everyone else?

Way to go, smarty!

I guess that's why you NEVER READ ANYTHING BEFORE POSTING LIKE YOU SHOULD HAVE.

I have a feeling a lot of these guests that post this site are people that are getting money out of it. No way to know, though...

When I said the Slusho music may be a clue, I didn't mean spectral analysis, (though some of you have come up with some really interesting stuff ( becareful the CIA may come up behind you and ether your butt and ship you to iraq to help decypher transmissions) I meant, mathmatically, numbers, notes, beats. An example of this since I can not for the life of me remember where I learned about this, is an OLD episode of simpsons, where Homer goes to the movies with Marge, and halfway through spoils the movie by yelling out the following

"oh yeah I remember this, it turns out the nursery rhyme he sang to his daughter is the secret code"

Dont ask how I can remember that, but not where I verified that this sort of thing is actually done Me = weird brain activity

anyway, about that Slusho! ingredient:

what if it's E.T. (no not the movie dipsh!t) what if its some type of alien caviar (unhatched alien eggs, hint hint wink wink), hidden on earth under massive pressure in freezing cold, not for harm, but to protect some alien babies meant to be picked up discretely later on, but Ganu and his team discovered it and began eating it then selling it and now everyone is eating it and now momma is pissed. (Futurama anyone?)

This would explain the genetic transformations associated with consuming large quantities of the substance, and would be quite interesting as far as movies go.

what if the NY post interview with "some guy" was planted? as in what the guy told the post was scripted, hence part of the game? NY post doesn't even have to be in on it, they filmed over by Coney, and told the guy what to say when they ask him for info, in return for doing what they say he gets to bring his family to the premeir for free, or perhaps got paid.

what if it's true, it helps along my alien caviar theory.

some other notes. I only bring it up cause it goes with the sea ocean monster alien theory and proboably might help decypher the slusho site.
Some history on the statue of liberty.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Statue_of_Liberty

Quote:
Worldwide, the Statue of Liberty is one of the most recognizable icons of the United States, and, in a more general sense, represents liberty and escape from oppression. The Statue of Liberty was, from 1886 until the jet age, often one of the first glimpses of the United States for millions of immigrants after ocean voyages from Europe.

What if New York is not the first place this thing hits, what if the thing started rampaging all over the place a few hours earlier, the military had been tracking its movements and realized it was heading straight for New York via that old route? (perhaps following the scent of its babies being shipped?) That would explain why the SOL is the first thing this thing sees and destroys when comming ashore and why the military is seemingly here ahead of time (on the ground so early) acording to the most recent pic.

anyway thats it for now.

Look, if this monster had landed somewhere else it would have been all over the news and new yoprk would have been warned. There would have been no party or trailer. It's also odd that a creature of the size it would have to be would go unseen through that much of new york (referring to distance from SOL to woolworth building). There also would have been no party then. That leaves on question in my mind about this creature...

How did it move so fast unseen??? Honestly, If it was flying, which is logical in the speed sense, it would have had to swoop down to grab the SOL (LOL shit-outta-luck) and that means quite a few people would have seen/heard it. Maybe it's a plant with vines, but still unlikely because of speed issues. We can rule out flying for a few reasons: The SOL head is thrown from the ground up, not dropped from above... so whatever it is is on the land/ maybe it has wings and landed??? We would have seen it or someone would have... Maybe it's invisible (Like the Lost thing originally, i've only seen season one and two so far) and uses an instant transmission technique-thing (instant movement from place to place.) that would explain speed and SOL head.

Um sorry to bust your bubble, and believe me I don't mean this is a rude way at all. But "the world you live in is a sugar coated topping, there is another world beneath it, the real world"

I'll give you a gold star if you can remember where that quote is from. Wink

Not every disaster that happens is reported right away. Do you know anyone who works in emergency related services, the military, anything like that? If so ask them. Even if you don't just listen to a police scanner and you'll be suprised how many major events happen that you never hear about in mainstream media. Sometimes these things make page 12 in your local paper, sometimes they don't bother at all. You can bet when the military is involved the American public will be the last to know. Remember Katrina? Did you know that the planes that hit the WTC were being tracked because they were already way off course.

that's the first thing, the second is (lets say that for arguments sake)these kids and their party started at about 2300hrs, what if the beasty started its trouble making at 2315hrs after all these kids are at their party? say the Coast Guard was following it, or the Navy they called ahead to thier troops already stationed here in NYC, but did not alert the media because it would cause panic.

Or, what if they guy whos job was to alert the media, was too busy getting a bj from some stripper in the vip room, lots of times this is how quasi government officials drop the ball, and it happens way too often.

Soldiers follow orders, and if no one orders them to call ahead the only person they might call if they can do it without getting caught is thier spouse and/or kids.

Another example,
there was a major terrorist threat to the NYC transit system not too long ago (well we get them every day) but someone from the inside emailed his wife or something not to ride the trains that day it was very specific. she panicked and forwarded the email to all her friends, guess what; yes the threat was real, and he got in serious trouble for letting it out. even though that action may have very well averted it because now everyone was aware of it, and was on the lookout that day.

you can read all about how this silly government drops the ball all the time here:
http://www.homelandstupidity.us/
http://www.projectcensored.org/censored_2006/#9

there are several serious threats right now. for example over 3000 ID cards that grant employees access to restricted areas of airports are missing. did you know that? did you hear about on the news? nope. guess what happens to anyone who works for them and makes complaints...

anyway, I stand by my original post. I didnt mean to go off and I hope it doesnt seem mean or rude, but there are a lot of things about the way this place works that people just don't know and it really bothers me that people can be so trusting and have that trust violated every day by people who are supposed there to protect them.

i think it's traveling in the water then jumping on land, like a sea turtle, only way faster, bigger meaner and deadlier. like i said, the secret slusho indredient is probably some alien caviar and now momma is pissed.

Im inclined to agree can any of the mods check the ips of people who do that and see if the same? if so that scam is worse than we thought.

I don't think guests should be allowed to post to begin with, but that's just my opinion.

blade...where's my star dammit?

i don't believe this is necissarily the first attack, and i seriously doubt the movie is going to follow only 1 group of people the entire way (rob and his crew). i still think there's a strong possibility that rob may not ever show in another trailer, or maybe the movie. this could just have been a "for instance" sequence from the film.

Where did the reference to Apollo 11 come from?

Significant use of the number 11, trying for any sort of a connection.

You're reaching waaay too far on that one. Smile But good job with the other observations about the number 11. Those are pretty interesting.

I don't see the Apollo "connection" as too far fetched. 3293 (the number from the licence plate in the teaser) is the location of a star cluster. That would also fit with the other alien theories floating about.

this has been labelled the "popplers theory" and i agree with you, except that i don't believe the alien part is essential, just that the caviar came from some place at the bottom of the ocean.

cryptologist you are not

Helo wrote:
I really think we're looking too far into this at this point in time. If it's a game, then we started digging for clues before Abrams put them all into place. Here are some things we really have to consider:

1. Trying to run the music on the Slusho website through spectrum analyzers like some people are doing is too far fetched. The game would be meant to be played by a wider range of people than only those who have access to look for secret messages using analyzation equipment. While it might be fun, your time would be better spent chasing after real leads.

2. Poking around and trying to break codes to gain access to FTP's is not only illegal, but once again so far fetched that it would prevent the vast majority of people who want to play the game from playing it because they're not programmers or code breakers. Once again - think mainstream.

3. Zooming in and looking at undecipherable items and trying to guess what they are to find the next clue is time spent that could be utilized elsewhere. It's been mentioned many times that the clues are giant elephants in a room that are slightly camoflaged. We found out about Slusho because the movie websites has the movie under an AKA of Slusho, and that was due to the set locations. It was later tied to the t-shirt the guy was wearing in the trailer. It wasn't the other way around.

4. Creating numeric codes from words, pings in songs, hourly variations between errors in Flash programming, and other similar items will not get you anywhere. I know I sound like I'm beating a dead horse, but the games are meant to be played by a wide array of people, not only by supernerds and mega fanboys. Think like an investigator, don't think like a kid with a lot of computer equipment and conspiracy theories.

The next clue is coming, and chances are it will be around the time of Comic Con. We found Slusho sooner than expected, and the website isn't even completed (hence the autoresponder on the e-mail - don't even get me started on those who are sending coded messages back to the autoresponder). As for right now, the four pictures on the website are just pictures. With close to 300 pages of speculation on what they are, someone would have figured it out by now if there was something there. There are no coordinated in the time and date, or secret messages that need to be translated from numerology to Klingon to Japanese and back to English and run through a DOS-based ASCII translator to get an secret e-mail address. The pictures are simple - they are put there to give us something to think about while Abrams & Co finish the movie and give us something from that point forward.

I have a lot more to rant about, but in summary, just kick back, chill out, stop looking for things that don't exist, and wait until the game really starts before you start one of your own.

Enjoy.

Dude look at the 14SEPT2006 post on www.rachelblake.com (TLE in-game site). Look it up in Google, and see how people had to decode that. Even though it was obvious you'd have to decode it, I don't think people were expecting that much work.

rook here, I've been reading for a while, but have decided to finally jump in...

at any rate, on the "you can't drink just 6" theme, has anyone watched the video to see how many people are drinking (something), or some permutation along those lines?

 What if Rob knows?

I was just reading comments about Rob and he doesn't seemed all that disturbed with what is going on. What if he knew that it was going to happen and that's why he was getting the hell out of dodge the next day, but it happened a little earlier than expected. I know that sounds stupid, but he does look a little too calm.
