I took 12:32 and 63 degrees to be 12'32" RA and 63 Dec and got Cassiopeia, not Cetus.

I got an open cluster NGC 133 right at that exact location. I haven't been able to find anything interesting about it other than it is part of what is referred to as "The Square of Cassiopeia." I'm still looking into it because I still think it's significant that the filmmakers bothered to put a large telescope on Rob's rooftop (the first fireball zips right past it) and 'cuz I'm the obsessive type (which goes without saying- I guess we all are at this point)! Cool

 		anyone else getting a slightly higher number of spam email recently? Im wondering if emailing the slusho site causes them to give u "spam" mail that secretly has clues in them.

Heya...I posted before to ask about this, dont recall seeing any answers tho..

At the 36-39 seconds marks of the trailer, just before the first ROAR you can hear the song "Woman" by Wolfmother playing at the party.

Just curious if anyone had a way to check on "permission to use" type stuff that may be associated with the song.

Wolfmother was very upfront about a song of theirs used in Spiderman 3 but I havent found any refernece to this movie as of yet..

Nope. I've got a separate account just for arg stuff, I've not gotten a single spam message to it.

"Monstrous"... Could that be the name?

If it is indeed a real poster, it is certainly for 1-18-08 (a.k.a. Cloverfield).

But is Monstrous a name, or description...?

EDIT: Monstrous is almost most definitely the name, the poster is certainly genuine. Themonstrousmovie.com is confirmed to have been registered by Paramount.

DOUBLE EDIT: I liked the name Cloverfield better...

Maybe it's not the name, it really could be called Cloverfield, Slusho, 1-18-08 or The Montrous Movie, or Monstrous, or The Monstrous or something else. Laughing

We will most likely know sometime this weekend.

 		Frank & Son would likely be one of the first distributors to receive the new movie posters, considering their proximity to the production area. Give it a couple more days and it will likely appear on movieposters.com and in other hobbyist stores in major cities. The idea that we discovered themonstrousmovie.com from this supports it as a valid movie poster for 1-18-08, since the site was registered by paramount and the paramount logo does appear in the movie poster (albeit not very clear in the phonecam shots, it's there) and the website is not live yet. You know that within 10 minutes of the site going live someone's going to be all on top of it.

As for the movie title, 'Monstrous' doesn't seem to fit. If they're trying to create a unique monster franchise, they would want to differentiate themselves in the title, instead of associating it with every other big monster movie.

They probably own the domain, but there isn't anything there yet. Then again, I have no knowledge of registering Internet sites, no I'm not completely sure.

So I have been reading this post now since the trailer was released in HD.

I have come to the conclusion this is not an ARG, JJ might get smart and make it one, but its not one now, its just viral marketing.

As for the content of the movie... its definitely Aliens and I only hope Duke Nukem is there to save the day! Yeeeaaaah that's right its movie based on Duke Nukem forever! Wink

Seriously though, some of you should work for the FBI or CIA, I am amazed at the amount of data uncovered.
