 		Yeah, I agree. I bet those WindWalkers have iphones and stuff. Way better than enslavement.

Seriously, though. We all pretty much had our minds made up anyway, and it seems pretty clear to me which characters represent which factions. I'm with Colby. I think he be Chosen and stuff.

Sorry, that didn't quite capture what I meant... I didn't mean that anyone was unsure which one to pick. I just thought the e-mail was funny in that it gives us a choice between free alien technology or enslavement. I mean who would pick enslavement. I'll shut up now.

To be fare, I would think that the PM(s) will give some time for everyone to give him a call before they return any calls. Odd though, since Gabriel is so paranoid about "them" listening, cell phone calls aren't really what I would have thought he'd choose for his "secret" communications.

i think it was said before but there really isnt much of a choice there.

also, i agree that Colby (and dont forget Christine) are the chosen. they obviously were CHOSEN by randomly having those dreams.

The people in the web i believe signifies human entrapment, or enslavement. So the web belongs to the firebringers. As for the windwalkers, in one of Colbys dreams he dreams of a tree of feathers that when he walks up to it, the feathers get blown away by the wind. The wind is harmless mostly, but fire is destructive. Well folks, I believe now we know the good goys (EDIT: BOYS ) (EDIT OF EDIT: GUYS) from the bad guys. bout time.

As for the war... i was watching "signs" the other day and realized something that may relate to this situation. Every alien in every story ALWAYS have a weakness. Could the firebringers weakness be water? This is another important clue for Colby to know.

Also, we finally found a way to spot an alien, and now realize there are two types... does these 6 rules apply to both races? lets hope so for Colbys sake.

Now we need to find a way to tell the difference between the WWs and the FBs. The agent might know how...

From what we've been told, we won't find WW. We need to find the Chosen to get to them. Until then, assume all aliens are hostile until proven otherwise.

i definitely agree. for safetys sake we shouldnt even assume the WW are even friendly.

Whos to say THEYRE not the ones wanting to enslave humanity and the FB are the ones who are friendly?

I emailed Colby with the advice I posted before. I also told him about "document 5224" and also the new alien mail. (im sure others already have done this, but it went with the advice I gave him Wink )

BTW anyone think the screen name of the prophecy mail has any meaning?

Wait, you told him about Agent Darkness? That might not have been the best move ever. We still don't know for certain if Colby is human or just some alien using us to lure out WW/Chosen/people. I also wouldn't tell him about the two types of aliens yet until you know he's human. I was having him call me so I could confirm he was human before spilling all that. I guess its too late now. Here's hoping everything turns out ok.

Didn't Colby already know of Agent Darkness? The source code in his blog and Agent posting a comment there as well?

If Colby is an alien, of either faction, surely he already knows that the other side exists.

He didn't know about the document blog, that's what I meant.

As far as the aliens, you are probably right. I was actually just trying to use that knowledge to bait him. I was going to have him call me, check that he could say alien, then tell him whatever he wanted to know. I'm with most of you in the camp of Colby is alright, but it never hurts to know for sure. I've also currently set Gabriel up for the same test. I figure at least this way, we could definatively say who is human and who is alien and go from there.

I guess that is unless we've already told Gabriel everything we already know. In that case, I guess I'll just wait until we get more leverage and try again.

colby already knew of the agents existence and the alien invasion happened in indiana, not clover nj. I put my trust in Colby, i doubt i was the only one... but hey if i get burnt i get burnt. Either way it looks that thats the direction the story is going.

if colby is going to unton, shouldnt we tell him what we know? i thought we agreed on this. If something happens to him because we were being too paranoid, it wouldnt sit right with me. Colby has been honest with us, i think we should return the favor.

theres no reason you cant still try to get him to call you. If thats what the PM wants, its whats gonna happen regardless of what I say. on top of that, if colby were an alien, why would he go to unton to investigate? why would he hint to us the "dot dash " clue again, that led nicole to find the new prophecy page? All signs point to colby being human... and also colby being in danger if he goes to Unton without knowing what WE know. Am i really alone in thinking this?

Correction : if you get burnt, we all get burnt. What you do effects everyone.

Absolutely. I even posted earlier why it wouldn't hurt to tell him the signs someone is an alien. What I wouldn't tell him is where it came from. That's unimportant at best and at worst, may lead the baddies to Agent Darkness. I get the vibe that Colby is getting played by Christine, so I would only tell him what he needs to know to save his skin. Colby may be on the up and up, but if we tell him too much too soon and Christine turns out to be an alien (remember, she has a secret) ... yeah you see where I'm going. Its for Colby's own safety that we only tell him stuff as he needs to know it.

True enough, but I also get the feeling at some point we're going to move out of linear mode and into fully interactive mode. At that point our actions won't just unlock the next phase of the story, they become the story. Just something to keep in mind.

 		I don't think the PM(s) will punish all players for one person's actions. If they want the story to go a certain way it will, regardless of what we do or don't do. I gave Colby Gabriel's contact info, they didn't want him to have it, so they said "no one" would give it up.

I understand but I think that the PMs gave us the "detection" list as a response to smooth's prodding. Most of the points are useless to us including the "can't physically say alien" thing. Speaking in English alone, I could avoid saying almost anything by using different phrases, synonyms, and slang. Furthermore, it doesn't actually prove anything. If I don't say "alien", even if you are trying to get me to, all it does is continue your doubt. We can prove that someone is NOT an alien but we, ourselves, cannot prove that they are. Only the characters who interact will be able to see the other signs.

Although I currently believe that Colby is what he says, I have to agree with Uberg33k. He would lie if he and the WW were wolves in sheep's clothing and they were trying to trick us into either helping them or not helping Gabriel.
