Re: Is the domain really a find?

We already have theparasitemovie.com, parasitemovie.com, thecloverfieldmovie.com (which redirects to paramount.com) and 1-18-08.com (and it's variants). That doesn't make any of them the title of the movie.
Seriously, "Monstrous" is a pretty shitty name for a movie.
While I agree the title sucks, its definitely affiliated with Paramount. The domain was registered well before any of the hype started on the net'. Additionally its owned by Paramount. While in theory someone could register a domain with Paramounts address, ICANN is exceedingly strict with registrant information, and if the domain was not validly owned by Paramount, it wouldn't still be around.

I believe he mentioned that the flea market is only open on Saturdays and Wednesdays.

Has anyone bothered to ask what that poster is doing at a flea market?!?
A flea market is not at the forefront of Hollywood insider information, is it?
Of all the people following this, nobody works at a print shop... or a comic book store... or a movie theater... or anything that might eventually receive these?

Thats what I was thinking. But I think I might have saw a similar poster for a "coming soon movie" at my local theater after seeing Pirates 3. I couldve sworn it was that exact poster with the NY skyline with smoke and the statue of liberty standing in water up to her waist or something to that effect. But maybe I am just getting The Day After Tomorrow and Flight 93 mixed up???? I was wondering if there really was a poster there then someone that works in a movie theater surely must have seen this poster too.

I don't know if you know this, but they're a pretty big deal
They may not be at the forefront of Hollywood info, but it looks like the have a pretty good grasp on the Comic scene. Especially considering that G4 is filming their Comic Con preview show there.

Plus it ultimately depends on the vendor, the location might be a bit of a dump but the guys who run that particular stall may be pretty savvy and have connections.
Of course that's just my speculation.

Also, if the poster is for real, it wouldn't be the first time a studio has released a movie poster with a working title.
Most of you are probably too young to remember this.
EDIT: Sorry... experimenting with the code!

outfieldissue:
if I would run such a comic store (or whatever it is): I would knew about this cloverfield thing, or?
even if the poster is a fake, what would its price be on ebay?

whether it's a fake or not, the auction would probably be cancelled by evilBay at the request of Parmount.
If it wasn't I think you could get at least $12.
You would have to cover yourself pretty hardcore in the wording of the auction to try to actually get it to not be shut down.

V3 Phone WTF?! I have a V3 Phone, and it only takes pictures like that if a small child is punching me in the knee, or if I'm being hit with a nerf football. Please get a better pic. I'll be checking this site tomorrow!

The camera on the V3 phone sucks regardless of what you say lol. Pictures also depend on lighting, distance from the subject, blah blah blah. Those are the pics I got.
It seems more than 1 person are going to race there on Wed to be the first to get high res pics. You can wait for them as I have no reason to visit that place in the near future. I live quite a distance from it and also work. Sorry.
Also, Kingpin, unfortunately those ARE the original pictures. I merely dragged them from my phone to my desktop and uploaded them. They never saw an image editing program
