Uh. The link I just gave a couple posts up is the link to the image comparison. That's where it was made.

Unless you're speaking more broadly about the connection between EHWR and Mind Storm Labs, in which case (unless Google lies to me), this is the start of making that connection.

Ok, it's been a week since the three journal pages came out, and that's the last in-game thing that's happened.

Unless we missed something, and they're waiting on us.

Well, either they're waiting for August 1st, or we've been a bigger monkey wrench than they anticipated. Twisted Evil

Have we missed anything?

Any ideas on what we might have missed?

One thing that I haven't seen discussed here is the weird formatting of the last email from Van. But looking at the others only the first one looks normal. This last one is the weirdest though.

The paragraphs start with odd indents. The 2nd one starts about 16 spaces in, the 3rd one 21 spaces in and the first letter isn't upper case. But I don't really think it means anything except that Van composes emails weird.

There are the journal pages that look like they might be hiding something, but so far nobody has come up with anything conclusive. There are some things that look like letters on them... I thought I saw the name James in Ruchbah, Rolling Eyes but realized I had just been looking at it too long.

Someone posted that the paper might have been written on and erased. In real life we could do a rubbing and see what was written underneath, but with a .jpg I'm not sure it can be done. Question I don't have Photoshop, I have Irfanview and the Gimp and really don't know how to use them very well.

I have minimal experience with Args. If we don't find everything we needed to find, wouldn't they start giving hints? We most likely won't get anything new until August 1st. ARG

I don't know... I surely expect something. I mean, they did release the Triton update on the 17th, two weeks before their "big date".

But, let's be honest, some of the things we've seen are... short of a better word... amateurish. It does seem like their first ARG, so let's cut them a ltitle slack.

Well, it is summer and people do take vacations, though you'd think they would've scheduled those some other time given that they're in the middle of this thing. I think Bix is right--we either missed something or they're building this around us. Something about the second part doesn't seem right, though. After all, if they had done nothing at all about the whois data, not sent more letters, not put up the journal entries, then it would just be about the main site, its puzzle, and 8-01-08. We could have been told up front that this was about AO, and it really wouldn't have made any difference in the ARG itself; Triton was significant, however, and they didn't have to do that if they weren't ready.

The fact that they did anything at all with Triton Ent. and the journals suggests to me that this was planned out more than it appears and we just missed something. Unlike that other ARG going on, this one no longer has 50 bazillion people trying to figure it out to no avail (which probably means that one isn't even really launched yet, as Nighthawk suggested in those forums). Finding Ruchbah and the Divinus site shouldn't have been that big of a deal to them since neither yields any substantial information relevant to the ARG anyway.

Thanks for pointing out the pic similarities. I had been looking at it trying to match the light on EHWR to the pile on the right of the car (which I assumed to be burning on the site) and the right fire escape on MSL to the left fire escape on EHWR: and was getting a lot of nothing. I'm not inclined to the visual arts in case you can't tell Shifty Eyes

Well, I think we'll get something before the first, if for no other reason than there seems to be a lot of high paced puzzles and story info coming out. This is rare for a young ARG, so I'm excited to see where this goes.

Once again, I'm blind, keep up the good work (and explain to idiots like me) Smile .

I tried a search but was unable to find what I was looking for. Perhaps I wasn't using the right terms.
I admit I haven't read the entire thread but has there been any discussion about the letters on the outside of the puzzle ball?

Which puzzle are you talking about? There were 5 and I think that at least two of them were balls.

The device starts as a sphere. The sphere opens to reveal each game. On the sphere itself, there are symbols. To me it looks like 2 rows of symbols. The symbol for T is visible in the bottom row. I think other letters could be made visible.

Ethan Haas was Right game

The only symbols are just Hindi letters that you need to spell things with.

Here is a complete walk through for the game

http://jayisgames.com/archives/2007/07/ethan_haas_was_right.php#walkthrough

On the 5th game the word Ckrox appears. If you search for Ckrox in this forum you will find a lot of information. Smile

Although I've yet hear an explanation for that more plausible than "maybe on eof the designers just likes tagging his stuff".
