i don't know...but coordinates? so i searched the copyright on the Slusho catch phrase and it was registered to a company in santa monica that won't show up in any business pages.
but the address checks out and its kinda near the ocean (works with Lovecraft theory)
so i google earth the address and checked the coordinates to see if that would give me anything to connect the two.
the coordinates are 34° 1'32.00"N 118°29'26.60"W
while the R'yleh coordinates are 47°9′S, 126°43′W
and the mysterious "bloop" sound comes from around the 50° S 100° W" vicinity as per the U. S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
or has J.J. Abrams just driven me insane?

DING DING DING, we have a winner.
I think we're all going crazy, with so little to work off of.
It's not Lovecraft, what else ya got?

Just to show they exist and if it's not swiss cheese than what is it?
It's a cartoon depiction of cheese. Go watch any Tom and Jerry cartoon.
Think about it. When was the last time you saw yellow Swiss Cheese? Go down to your local supermarket and take a look. Swiss Cheese is white, not yellow.
The designer wanted you to see cheese, so he used an iconic representation of cheese that you've seen over and over since you were a child.

I feel pretty dumb posting this, & pray not to get overflamed for it... I just considered that alot of the threads are really reaching, so I would post my own thoughts on it in this particular thread, since most of what I have put into words here, are based off of breadcrumbs I followed up from the Slusho! page.
be kind, I am new.
It's good thinking, but it reaches wayyyyyyyyyyy too far to be considered seriously. It brings in elements that haven't even been hinted about yet, which kind of puts them out of bounds as clue-bait.
However, your use of the word "tonic" gets me thinking back to the music. Not that this will lead anywhere, but maybe it'll spark a memory of something someone's actually seen in one of the validated sites.
A "tonic" is not only a name for a medicinal drink but also for the root note of a scale in music (Like the Key of D Major would have "D" as the Tonic). The Slusho theme song is in the key of C Major, which makes "C" the Tonic.
Tonic? C (Sea?)?
If there's some sort of clue breakthrough to be found in the theme, maybe this is the opening for it. I admit it's just a "foo" tossed out there. It doesn't really point anywhere and there's no indication that it means anything.

What if someone took staff lines and put them along where the ass and cheese-fish; perhaps the bubbles might correspond to notes or something? I don't read music, so I wouldn't be good at this.

No theories, just an observation: I was watching the first episode of the third season of Lost, which begins with Juliet putting on music and realizing her muffins are burning in the oven. She then grabs a blue oven mit that looks pretty damn similar to the one the donkey dreams about under the sea. That's all I've got.

Not unless Loch Ness in Scotland suddenly got a NY skyline.
And relocated to the east coast of the US.

Now maybe Champ is on vacation from Vermont... or the Jersey Devil is pissed about all the wisecracks about the Garden State.

I don't think Nessy has claws. Besides there already making a movie about her called "Water Horse" something like that anyway.

This might be getting too deep into it, but has anyone taken a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tonic_Sol-fa in reference to the music?
