LOL I didn't even consider that it could be the Winchester boys. Guess I need more coffee. Smile

I can always ask if they were driving a big black car with an obnoxiously loud stereo.

Hmmm...What else would describe them, without seeing the car? To me, that'd be the easiest way to spot them. Hard to hide. I'll ask if she's seen a car like that around.

I'm emailing her now:

Lacey shared your email with me, I hope you don't mind. Your description of the two men in the library sounds quite like Sam and Dean Winchester. If you see them again you might ask them - but be careful, you might only do it in a public place just in case they're not. You'll probably want to ask them if that's their "67 Impala" outside; And then only trust them if they actually have the keys Smile
(They drive a black Impala).

We're still working on the voice in the song. Keep hope,
REM.

*EDIT* - Flash of brilliance, I included this link to their picture.

Oh. Well...I was trying to be a bit more subtle than that. I just asked if she'd noticed any cars that seemed to appear more than once, if she thought she was being followed, had she seen the 2 guys again.

So. Are we playing this as we know S&D?

Well, I consider that a flash of brilliance - because I can't get enough of my Dean, thanks for making me smile while I catch up after being gone for a couple of days Laughing

Wow, I've gotta come here more often. Rolling Eyes Oh well, once I get off vacation, I'll be more productive. I know I might be beating a dead horse with a stick here, but can anybody go to the Fleetwood neighborhood in Savannah, GA to snoop around? Maybe check a garage for a '67 Impala. Laughing I live about 3 1/2 hours from there, so if nobody is closer, I hope there isn't a clue there, cuz I won't go that far.

Hope I don't wind up stepping on toes, and I hope we can make something on this.

Edit: Decided to put my discoveries from the recording behind a spoiler tag due to simple uncertainty about it.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The voice on the recording is reciting a passage from Evangeline: A Tale of Acadie by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

"Died, and was doomed to haunt unseen the chambers of children;
And how on Christmas eve the oxen talked in the stable,
And how the fever was cured by a spider shut up in a nutshell,
And of the marvellous powers of four-leaved clover and horsehoes, "

http://www.worldwideschool.org/library/books/lit/poetry/EvangelineATaleofAcadie/chap4.html

It's a little too vague for me to want to drop it in a comment to Tnya's journal at this point, but if someone else wants to, feel free.

There's also a longfellow lane in Savannah?
*EDIT* Nice job ZC!

I'm drawing a complete blank here. No correlation that I can find with longfellow or spiders or savannah or rainbow's end or rainbow... can we call in the cavalry? Bang Head

*EDIT* Could this have something to do with Irish something?
Rainbow's End?
Clover?
Horseshoes?
...in Savannah?

I find nothing.

Got a response from Sam (in Hex) to my email asking if he's tailing Tanya, and to let me know when they need help:

Danger, now. It's closer.

Two More Emails

From Tanya re: Sam and Dean, were they the ones in the library, and here is a link to a picture of them?
Quote:
I... Well their faces didn't really stay with me all that well. It could very easily be them, but I can't positively say for sure.

If that's them, though, that makes it so much easier! Do you have their number -- I need to contact Dean directly if I can.

- Tanya

Didn't we have a phone # at some point? Crap my damny memory.

Also, from Sam, after I asked if he was in the library, or if he was trailing Tanya:
Quote:
SGVscCB0aGUgb3RoZXIuIFNoZSdzIHRoZSBkYW5nZXIu

Could use some help with that last one, unfamiliar with it...
*EDIT* Got it (base 64):
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Help the other. She's the danger.

More emails...

I asked Tanya what was this thing she'd been through, if she'd seen anyone following her, what happened to Tricia to cause her to believe in fairies, or if it was just a childhood thing, etc.

Tanya's reply:
Quote:
Hello Lacey,

Truthfully, I think these messages are the only things that are keeping me sane. I have no idea what it is that's going on, so having a "sane" lifeline is making things a lot better.

I basically had to raise Trish by myself. It may sound trite, but we're orphans of a sort -- when I was 21 our parents both died. I'd been intending to finish off a few things before I got into work, but that kind of stopped things. We've always been financially alright, but there's really nowhere else for either of us to turn. The family was always estranged for no reason I could figure out.

When Trish was younger, I don't think she ever...really fell into anything strange. She just loved stories like Narnia and Terebithia; and all those "Red Fairy", "Yellow Fairy" Books, too.

I... don't think I've being followed. I mean, obviously SOMETHING is going on, but I haven't noticed anything or anyone. The guys from the library I'd...only really glanced at that one time that I can remember. Honestly, I just keep saying "hi, have you seen this person" to so many people I can't even remember where I am anymore.

That... post doesn't sound like her. At all. I KNOW she mentioned Dean to me, as someone she remembered quite well. He kind of helped her work out some of her thoughts on her thesis.

Thanks so much again, Lacey. Sometimes it's nice to hear positive things from people who really are trying to work things out when I have no idea what's going on.

- Tanya

I asked Trisha what Tanya's diagnosis was, if she was prescribed any meds, and how she was treated, and I asked what the older posts on her LJ were about and what she was studying now.

Her reply (assuming it's Trisha, since it's along the same lines as the one before, but this one wasn't signed):
Quote:
A lot of that information is both highly technical and personal, I generally don't divulge it to strangers.

I wrote them a long time ago. I had decided that part of the purpose to studying folklore involved the conception and understanding of urban legends. Creating one seemed ideal to my purpose -- so I created a series of events that would allow me to do so without causing major problems to anyone else.

A lot of the initial research can be delicate, and I'm working with my professors right now to rethink these concepts. It's working for the better, but it's time consuming.

As of yet, I think that I'll wait on discussing my sister's condition with you. She's paranoid, and for whatever reason believes our parents to be dead. They're not -- I'm actually spending a lot of time discussing this issue with them right now.

The thing that strikes me as odd about this one is "A lot of that information is both highly technical and personal." Personal I understand, but technical? I've already told her I'm getting my Master's in psych, but she thinks it's too technical for me? Odd. I guess if it's an imposter, though, maybe it's too technical for them. LOL Then she mentions that her sister is paranoid. Is she using this casually, or using it as if it were a diagnosis?

So now we've got: Tanya has/has not been in a mental facility, Tanya's & Tricia's parents are/are not dead, Tricia/Trisha does/does not believe in the supernatural.

Kind of stumped as to what to ask next.

I think we need to solve the riddle of Savannah. Why is she there, exactly, and what does the song/poem have to do with it?
