Yea, ASS THAT FOUND. The donkey...(ass) was thinking about a blue oven mitt. That's been beaten like a government mule (no pun intended), so what? The ass found his oven mitt?

Wild speculation, but I was wondering -- if this is related -- why Yarmouth of all towns. Quick Wikipedia: the SS Yarmouth Castle went down in 1965 due to a horrible fire. The description of the fire kind of reminded me of the panic we saw in the trailer.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SS_Yarmouth_Castle

Probably unrelated, but hey -- I'm a noob Smile

OK, call me crazy, but I just figured that ASS THAT FOUND was just J.J. Abrams giving some clues about the Slusho.jp site (as in "find the donkey"), because Slusho.jp had not yet been discovered. IDK though.

Well we can rule out monstrous as a title, I'm just wondering why the title wasn't released yet by Abrams at comic con.

Cloverfield / 1-18-08:

2:22 - The original trailer in front of Transformers for Cloverfield / 1-18-08 debuts. JJ Abrams heads to the stage. His very quick statement on the film (as he'll be back for Star Trek XI):

"I want a monster movie, I've wanted one for so long. I was in Japan with my son and all he wanted to do is go to toy stores. And we saw all these Godzilla toys, and I thought, we need our own monster, and not King Kong, King Kong's adorable. I wanted something that was just insane and intense. It's almost done shooting and I watch dailies and I'm more excited for them than the trailer, which has had an overwhelming response. We have 6 months before this comes out. We're going to have a whole bunch of things, a whole bunch more." He said a full trailer, more clips, full posters, and much more will be coming out over the next 6 monts, including the name, which he will NOT reveal today.

"You think we'd call it Monstrous? No…"

So, the film is NOT a Godzilla movie, it is an original monster movie, and it is NOT called Monstrous!

AICN tells you the name of the movie

On Aintitcoolnews today there was some discussion about the title before and after the JJ abrams star trek panel. Then Harry Knowles posted his hint....
http://www.aintitcool.com/node/33457

"Hey folks, Harry here.... I'm on the 101 north of San Francisco headed for Eureka, Ca to settle in tonight - and while driving, I had a bit of a Eureka moment with a spy revealing that the below MONSTROUS poster is the first of 3 teaser posters that will lead to the TITLE reveal poster. First we'll have "MONSTROUS" - next we will have "BARBAROUS" - then we will have "FEROCIOUS" - To me - these phrases are not even spoilers - but if you're like me - if MONSTROUS is a headless Statue of Liberty - what images go with BARBAROUS and FEROCIOUS? -- The title? Well, I don't want to spoil it, so you should go ask, Piotr Nikolaievitch Rasputin!" if you know that name from the XMEN then you know that the name of the movie is......

COLOSSUS

Rather than "Colossus", wouldn't it make more sense if it was "Colossal"? It would fit in w/ the adjective pattern.

In an interesting leap of logic, there is a species of giant squid known as a colossal squid.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colossal_squid

A pissed off, mutant, bad ass colossal squid could easily account for all of what we've seen.

y'know I don't know, I just noticed that he was referring to a character's name. It may sound better as Colossal, but he referenced Colossus.

Maybe not weird... sounds good. "The New Colossus" is the poem on the SOL and it all seems to tie in...

... but in all honesty, I think I've had enough of this BS.

New avatar to tie in to my new mood against JJ.

Oh, so maybe it's a larval colossus that busts out of the SOL like a cocoon. Wink

Colossus is only Harrys' logical guess after his "spy" told him the three teaser posters would be headlined -- MONSTROUS,BARBAROUS and FEROCIOUS. This doesn't come frome JJ Abrams just Harrys' musing on the possible title.

I don't really trust the spys' info, barbarous just doesn't fit, it's more of a human reference(as in barbarian) not to a monster. VICIOUS is a better fit.

that was his guess: Colossus. the phrasing of each word doesn't match. it's from a "spy," but the idea of having three teasers, then a fourth revealing the title is interesting. would of liked to know the name now, but somehow this will all make the $10.50 worth it. right? we're 6months away.

I'm actually just killing time before TDK.

Brownie how's that sting JJ! Confused

new 1-18-08 picture

This is just something I'm following and will likely amount to nothing but everything is worth a try.

Since Slusho! is on a "Japanese site" you read back to front. In the Slusho! history site and matching the numbers on the 1-18-08 pictures you get:

Slusho! huge knowledge it's anything

Who knows what words will fill in now that for the first time the time on the newest picture goes back to an earlier time 12:04.

The Slusho! story is of magic and triumph!

Noriko Yoshida dedicated her life to refreshment! Her classmates called her
the Smallest Whale because she would drink endless amounts of beverages at
every meal.

Truth was Noriko loved libations so much, and drank so much, she did not
join while the other children opened their fun, she rather experimented with
flavor mixtures - combining different fruits, vegetables and other ingredients
naturally grown form her father's (Ryouta Yoshida) farm to make great new
beverages.

Her deliciousness made her loved throughout many towns and villages on
Honshu.

(p2)

And every year she would try to beat herself by coming up with a new flavor
mixture, so unique to anything else - she was never satisfied!

But tragedy struck for the Smallest Whale! Noriko set off on a sea
adventure to find the greatest, most tastiest ingredient to the world, and
was never heard from again!

She left behind her only son, Ganu! Ganu also liked to experiment, but not
with the beverage-making enterprise that killed his mother, but for science!

He abandoned his mother's drink business to his cousin, because the pain of
her loss was so great with every flavor mixture Ganu attempted. Truth is
that he became a lead ocean scientist. His accomplishments are many, he is
very big.

(p3)

And one fateful day, he and his teammates discovered a deep sea ingredient
unique to anything else!!!! While the team pondered miraculous ways to use it,
Ganu had the best idea of all!! Because that night he had a dream - he was a
tiny fish, and a whale came and told him to drink the new ingredient. And as
he did drink lots and lots of the ingredient, Ganu grew from a small fish into
an enormous whale!!! He woke up with tears, he knew he had found(108 word) the magic
ingredient Noriko had set off to find!

He decided he would make his mother's dream live - make the tastiest drink,
unlike anything(1:24) on earth! Because the ingredient was discovered on the deep
ocean floor, under amazing pressure and in the most extreme cold, Ganu
knew he had to serve the ingredient in a near-frozen state to preserve its (12:4Cool freshness!!

(p4)

He re-joined with his cousin, and combining the incredible drink-making
knowledge(12:36) of Noriko's business with the new ingredient, SLUSHO! came to
life!!!!!!

Everyone who drinks a SLUSHO! tastes Noriko's dream, and becomes a small
whale like Noriko - because you want to drink huge(12:04) amounts of SLUSHO! (12:01)

BET YOU CAN'T DRINK JUST SIX!!!

Probably nothing but interesting anyway.

Here ya go.

From Wikipedia:

The Colossus character will be getting his own movie in 2008. The movie is currently listed as "Untitled J.J Abrams Project" on IMDb.com. This movie has already received lots of attention do in part to the teaser trailer that played before the movie 'Transformers'. It is expected to be announced during 2007 San Diego Comic Con International.

Under the "Colossus" entry.
