That disclaimer when you roll over the date on the BNL site is hilarious- especially the last sentence.

I'm definitely sitting in wait on this one too. That robot was so darn cute.
Anyway, for anyone that's interested, the site is being hosted on a Starwave Corporation server (a subsidiary of Disney) and it's IP doesn't have any other sites attached to it (yet?). However, the server seems to have a net range of 198.105.192.0 - 198.105.199.255, so they might have other sites up already anywhere in there.
Could anyone explain what some of the technical jargon means in the Meta Tags? I've been looking around for some definitions but even those seem too hard to follow.
Quote:
buy n large
utility and power
highly efficient metrics
cross-media convergence
frictionless marketplaces
initiative systems
biotech
industrial
And I think it's hilarious that one of the page's scripts is named "breadcrumb", despite that it's only for the footnote.
Edit: And theres a clearer video of the fake ad footage here . There's a lot of writing in the fast flashing part and lightly overlayed at the end over the disclaimer. Anyone want to try a frame by frame?

Well, from what I can tell a "frictionless marketplace" is one where goods and services can move freely from place to place for very cheap or free. "Highly efficient metrics" might mean they have systems for judging things very quickly? Combined with "initiative systems" I'm thinking AIs that can judge the market and make decisions themselves, possibly about where to ship goods. Maybe? Anyways I'm certainly intrigued.

WOW. There is a huge amount of content, all of it hilarious. (Read the new disclaimer at the bottom--there are no 3rd parties.)
I haven't read everything yet. (Have you seen their 'world news' site? It's amazing! There are upwards of 20 full articles!) However, I've scoured the site for phone numbers and email addresses and couldn't find any. (Most contact information was said to be listed on the BNL products.)
The lack of contact information makes me think this is a really cool (and hilarious) extended reality, not a full ARG.
However , a BNL store that is supposed to open soon may hold something of ARGish value.
Anyways... Everyone, go check it out! (Especially the new video game console launch in the world news site. And the fake movie ad!)
Hilarious.
And with that, I'm off to bed.

Google Earth'd their UK offices, it looks like some kinda country house rather than any kind of business set-up.

seriously though...

seems to have indications that there is opposition to BnL's world domination, anti-capitalists, underground banks, deserted "economics" sections of universities. Plus, the almost satirical over the top consumerist style of BnL's site... looks like we may be up for some fun!
(satirical, subversive, disney?)

This is pretty much looking like it's going to be the best movie ever, if you ask me.

The level and quality of the content is pretty amazing. Almost every one of those pages could spin-off into a story line. The one about the robot expressing "thoughtfullness" seems like a likely candidate.
Can't wait to figure out how to get in contact with the "feral communists".

Darn it! I leave for a week and I miss it. The site now seems to only have a Verisign parked page.
